11 The Prince of Shadows (1/2)

The green robed man's expression was grim. A deafening silence engulfed the manor. The shadows in front of him did not dared to make a sound.

”Was he the one who killed the shadows that we sent?”

”yes, my Lord. He said that if we ever set foot on the academy again….”

The shadows looked at each other.

”Say it!”

”My Lord, he said that he will crush our manor and eliminate all of us.”

The green robed man tightened his fist with angered look.

[If only he did not carry a royal blood, I would have already eliminated him myself.]

The prince who interfered with their task was an exiled prince of shadows. Although they are working under the main headquarters they could not easily eliminate him without stepping on the name of the royal family.

To make it simple. One of the rules of the shadow includes prohibition of attacking a shadow who has higher standing.

”Send our men to eliminate the 5 students outside the school” the green robe man ordered firmly.

Shadows can be territorial. They do not like other people stepping on their territory. The prince of shadow might have shown his displeasure by killing two of his men. Perhaps he had marked the academy as a part of his territory. Never did the man in green robe believed that mere mortals can kill them. It was only rational that someone with powerful background can harm them.

But because the 5 students saw them, they cannot allow them to live. By upholding their rules, they can ensure their power stability.
