825 Counting On You, Going Offline For A While (1/2)
Ming Du was not the only one from Quan Zhen Sect who had this kind of wretched mindset. They would make anything who was dangerous to them theirs, even if they would not have the chance to use it. This was the only way they could ensure that they were safe.
Everyone wanted to seek luck and avoid calamity. They were too used to being chased and killed, and then over time, they formed this habit.
”This is easy.” Fearless thought and said, ”Later when we see that fella, Old Bull can just snatch it away.”
”Rob? This is not right…” After hearing what Fearless said, Wang Yu felt difficult.
Wang Yu always had high standards for his morals, which was why he would not do anything like that.
”There's nothing wrong with that.” Fearless said, ”If you think about it, those guys are not good guys either. That kind of stuff will only aid them in doing more evil stuff. What we are going to do is not robbery, it's called doing justice for the heavens, understand?”
”Really?” Wang Yu was skeptical.
”Of course!” Fearless gave a pat on Wang Yu's shoulder and replied, ”When have I lied to you? I'm counting on you to maintain world peace.”
”Alright then!” Wang Yu was finally convinced by Fearless.
Therefore, everything had different ways to be viewed. Like Wang Yu, he just needed a reason to convince himself.
Round 3 begun, and player's names from both sides appeared on the big screen again.
From Team Satan: Lucifer, Areca, White Sand, Li Qun, Yu Xi.
From Team A Murder of Crows: Iron Bull, Ming Du, Spring Halo, Fearless, Frost Blade.
”F*ck! What kind of luck is this?! Iron Bull is the first one!” After seeing Wang Yu's name on the screen everyone from Quan Zhen Sect was agitated.
Due to the randomness of round-robin, round 2's result had an uncertainty, since every player's jobs, strength and ability and the battle location could affect the result of the game.
However, seeing Wang Yu's name came up first, everyone from Quan Zhen Sect knew the ending of this round.
”Damn it, Old Bull, take it slow alright? I'll go offline to have a cigarette…” Ming Du murmured and pressed on quit game.
Spring Halo also said, ”I am going to the toilet.”
”I am going to drink some water…” Fearless said.
”Hehe!” Spring Halo smirked and side-eyed Fearless.
”Go away…” Fearless replied.
The others also looked relaxed and were all finding this chance to take a break offline.
This competition was not an easy task. Even though most people do not compete most of the time, it was very tiring when they actually got down to fight.
Firstly, players had to observe their opponents to know them well. Secondly, something unexpected might happen which would result in their match being brought forward.
The time allocated for each game was controlled by the system, and there would be no emotions involved. Therefore, not a second could be wasted. If a player was late, he or she would automatically lose the match.
There was no need to reason with a machine. Hence, besides the rest time allocated, they would not leave the game for several hours.
