82 Resting in a strange land (1/2)

Finally... Here comes the dilemma:

How are we going to sleep?

Now, understand me, I only see Charlotte as my little sister, and she also only sees me as her brother. Therefore, if possible, I would like to maintain a certain distance to prevent 'ero' things from happening.

”Uh... So... Should I sleep on the floor?”

Since it's the most basic option, I proposed it to Charlotte, who is now sitting on the bed.

”But won't you be cold, Onii-chan?”

She asked me out of concern. Although she could be a little mischievous sometimes, she is actually a very gentle and caring girl.

”Don't worry, Charlotte. I'll just get some blankets from the front desk.”

After saying those sentences, I immediately picked up the phone and dialled the front desk, requesting two sheets of blankets: one to sleep on, and one to cover my body with.

Not long after, the maid came knocking at the door and delivered the two blankets to me. Since this is quite a decent hotel, the blankets they gave weren't thin either. Each of them is large enough to cover the body of an adult, and they are definitely thick enough to ward off the coldness of the night.

”See, no problem at all!”

”Mu~~~”

Although the problem at hand was already resolved, it seems that Charlotte is not very happy about it.

”B-But... Y-You won't be very comfortable right-”

I interrupted her by placing my hand on her head.

”Don't worry, Charlotte. I'm your brother after all. This much is nothing to me.”

I smiled at her and stroked her head gently like always. Whenever I do this, she always seems to act like a cat and let me pat her head willingly. Even when I parted my hand from her head, she seems to be craving for more. She's literally just so cute!!!!

”Un!”

Since the sun is starting to set now, we laid down our belongings that we brought with us from Japan on the table beside Charlotte's bed and started to prepare for the night.

”Go take a bath, Charlotte. I'll go in after you finished.”

”Then I'll go in first, Onii-chan!”

I watched her figure vanished into the bathroom. Just before I turned on the television, Charlotte's head popped out from the bathroom and said to me,

”And no peeking, okay?”

”Just get in there, Charlotte! Just who do you think I am?”

”A pervert brother.”

”I'm not!!! Don't believe those two's words, okay?!?!”

Apparently satisfied with my reaction, she went back into the bathroom and closed the door.

After switching through the channels, I ended up watching a travel channel where they travel to different parts of Thailand and discover 'unseen' places.

Just as I was about to change the channel for the nth time, Charlotte's voice called out to me.

”O-Onii-chan...”

”What is it, Charlotte?”

I turned my head towards the source of the voice, which is in the direction of the bathroom.

Seeing that she still has not come out of the bathroom yet, I wondered what she needed from me.

”W-Would you mind handing the towel to me please?”
