Unable to withhold himself, he approached her and found out that she was her daughter. He also found out that Tang Xiu had died. He was distressed and blamed himself for not taking her away when he had gone to China back then.

Tang Xiu's daughter, Su Lian was actually pregnant. She was such a young girl.

He took her in, then soon discovered how smart she was. Apparently, even though she was only nineteen years old, she had already gotten her Master's degree in Economics.

She had skipped a lot of grades and taken several accelerated courses while in University.

He showed her the ropes and officially hired her after she had given birth to her son whom he was now the god grandfather of.

Chris had also still held contact with Stephanie, Tang Xiu's mother. Shortly after he had met Su Lian he had introduced the grandmother and granddaughter pair to each other. They get along quite well and Stephanie adores her great granson, Su Yichen.

Su Lian pulled herself out of her thoughts and kissed her son on the cheek before heading out.

She walked to the living room and saw her grandmother, Stephanie, sitting quietly. She was drinking tea while watching an episode of the popular game show ”Money Bag.”

”Grandma, when did you get here?”

”Not too long ago.” she replies curtly, ”Is Michael still asleep?”

Stephanie calls Su Yichen by his English name, Michael, the one she had graciously given him.

”Yes, he'll be awake soon.” Su Lian grabs her car keys and heads for door. ”Give a him kiss for me.”
