Chapter 194 - The World of Cultivators was Shaken (2/2)
Every single Invincible Vajra around was a cunning, scheming mastermind of sorts. Being able to endure all that time to eventually become Invincible Vajras meant that almost all of them were considered the best of the best, and none would be easily trapped or set up.
Setting up yet another trap just to kill Lu Xuan would be near impossible.
Luo Ying gritted her teeth at that thought, a fiery glow of hate and frustration seen in her eyes.
Luo Ying, who previously had her way with things, was never able to have anything go according to plans ever since she met Lu Xuan.
She suffered a huge loss right there and then, so much so that even her most powerful backing—the Luo Clan—ended up eradicated on the spot.
The Luo Clan was no more, and every single clansman was marked for death. Anybody who managed to survive the slaughter would have needed to change their names and lay low. All their past glories would be out of the window for good.
No one was able to afford to get on Lu Xuan’s bad side, which meant that no one would have dared to take those survivors in.
What happened to the Qiu Clan before was an example unlike anything else. All the other large cultivation forces behaved like sharks who smelled blood, pouncing onto their prey and picking everything that belonged to the dead clan clean.
Even the other clans that belonged to the Taichu Group would probably not show any mercy to the Luo Clan.
Luo Ying then realized all of a sudden that Lu Xuan actually looked at the camera. His eyes felt like blades sharp enough to pierce through time and space.
“Sh*t!”
Goosebumps spread across her almost instantly, making her shudder.
This was despite being very far away from the Luo Clan.
But then again, if an Invincible Vajra were to be determined to get to her, she could try and hide in some obscure corners and still end up dead.
“No, I can’t die here. I can’t die here!” Luo Ying muttered in a panic and fled right away.
The safety of her current place was already compromised. The sixth sense of an Invincible Vajra was frighteningly accurate, after all.
She knew just how impeccable Lu Xuan’s senses were, so she dared not linger any longer.
She ran away the very second she realized what was happening.
Lu Xuan came to the place she previously was before long and saw what was on the monitors.
“You really know how to run.”
Lu Xuan narrowed his gaze, which harbored extreme ill will.
He was able to tell that the trap was Luo Ying’s handiwork.
He knew Luo Ying for quite a long time back in his past life, and they were very familiar with each other. He knew all too well how she operated, so he had no problem analyzing her handiwork in the setup.
However, Luo Ying was cowardly enough to be able to sense what Lu Xuan was able to pull next, enabling her to run every single time.
Her perception was so keen that it baffled even Lu Xuan. Her senses were far more accurate than even his.
“No matter. It’s just one less body on the pile, after all,” Lu Xuan muttered coldly.
He was determined to kill her, but he also knew that Luo Ying was not high on his priority list at the moment.
While he wanted to kill Luo Ying very much and to tie up those loose ends once and for all, Luo Ying was, nonetheless, not that much of a threat to him. She was but a nuisance who kept bothering him every now and then, getting on his nerves whenever she did.
Lu Xuan saw no need to be hung up with locating her, as doing so would be time-consuming.
The news that Luo Zihong and three other Invincible Vajras had been killed spread like wildfire before long.
The entire nation was shaken by the news. It had not been long since the Luo Clan celebrated Luo Zihong’s breakthrough into Invincible Vajra Level when the news of his death came.
There was no way the news would be less than shocking.
Every single clansman died alongside their Great Ancestor. With the exception of some who serve them being able to escape the slaughter, everyone from the clan was killed.
The world of cultivators was thoroughly shaken for quite a while.
