Chapter 194 - The World of Cultivators was Shaken (1/2)
The clan is done for.
That was the only thought everyone had in their minds at the moment.
With Luo Zihong dead, everyone else from the Luo Clan was little more than breathing corpses by then. However, it was not Lu Xuan who went on to finish the job; it was a bunch of fighters of the underworld led by Yang Chengsi.
Yang Chengsi was, nonetheless, an Invincible Vajra himself, so he had little problem cleaning up all the others from the Luo Clan at the moment.
The guests of the clan watched the commotion taking place at the side. All of them were trembling in fear, concerned if Yang Chengsi and his people would be so hyped that those people would kill them as well.
It was fortunate that Yang Chengsi apparently knew his bounds. To them, it was but another clean-up job.
Lu Xuan watched from the sidelines, not bothering to do anything to stop his underlings. It was precisely his intent to use the guests to spread a message: any who dared to mess with him should be prepared to end up dead.
No one would be spared.
Lu Xuan never bothered having mercy on the losing party, because he believed that if he were to be the one losing on that day, his ending would have been just as grim and gruesome.
None of his family members and followers would be able to survive.
The guests of the Luo Clan were gradually able to see what Lu Xuan was up to. If they were to still remain oblivious to the message Lu Xuan was trying to send, they might as well have been blind.
“Is he trying to warn us?”
“Yet another clan taken out altogether. This is already the third clan with long histories and influence being eradicated altogether by Lu Xuan.”
“I never thought someone of his age would be this brutal. He’s asking for trouble, and someday, he’s gonna get it.”
Some were murmuring among themselves, not daring to discuss their thoughts out loud in front of Lu Xuan.
“Just how did he manage to get this powerful?”
Luo Ying, who was watching everything that transpired in her clan digitally from somewhere far away, looked incredibly grim.
She was supposed to be waiting for Lu Xuan’s arrival at her clan’s base, and she was supposed to humiliate Lu Xuan for all that he had put her through all those times.
Yet, she had a hitch that something would go south the day before, which prompted her to leave the clan.
If they were to succeed, she would have still been able to reap the rewards nonetheless.
But if they were to fail…
Even if her clan members were to fail, she thought it would have simply ended up with Lu Xuan being able to escape the trap laid out by her clansmen, with a whole group of Invincible Vajras being unable to prevent his escape.
However, that scenario would be sufficiently terrifying nonetheless, as it would have served to say that Lu Xuan’s powers far eclipsed that of common Invincible Vajras. In turn, this would have meant that the Luo Clan would still be in grave danger.
But then again, she would still be able to contact the other clans and come up with plans to take on Lu Xuan again.
Things at the moment, however, were nothing like what she had expected. Lu Xuan’s combat prowess was far more terrifying than what she had initially anticipated.
Not only was Lu Xuan able to easily break through the trap she laid, but he was also able to beat every single person who took him on. All of that showed just how unnervingly terrifying Lu Xuan’s combat prowess, which clearly surpassed that of common cultivators, truly was.
It looked as if Lu Xuan was no longer an Invincible Vajra. The combat prowess he demonstrated meant that dozens of Invincible Vajras needed to be hired before they stood a chance of killing Lu Xuan for sure.
However, those few that the clan hired had practically exhausted all connections that the clan had.
No one else knew better than Invincible Vajras themselves. They knew all too well just how difficult it would be to trap and kill one of their kind.
While it was entirely possible to gang up on and defeat an Invincible Vajra, killing them would still be unbelievably difficult.
Letting one such being escape would mean having to face severe retaliation.
As such, few would agree to take on such a job.
But then again, that was how things should have worked. Lu Xuan showed everyone through his actions that everyone had been wrong when it came to him.
Anyone who thought that killing Invincible Vajras would be difficult was simply coming from people who weren’t strong enough to do so.
What Lu Xuan demonstrated made it seem like killing Invincible Vajras was a feat as easy as killing chickens.
