”Grandfather do you have the medical records for my supposed attempted suicide? If not...” Rory pulled her phone out of her pocket. ”I can call my doctor to explain it.”
Rory made sure to bring up her doctor just in case Victor tried to prevent her from continuing on. After all, did they really think they could send her to a mental center? She would definitely go crazy on all of them before they are able to drag her to a place like that.
Victor Hynes looked at her deeply before lifting up a hand. ”Bring in the lawyer.”
An uncle that Rory knew as Harris Hynes got up and walked toward a door in the back. She heard a hushed whisper of you can come in now and then two pairs of foot steps made their way back to the main living room.
One was of course Rory Hynes while the other was a lawyer dressed in a suit and carrying a briefcase. Seeing his face, Rory's eyebrows hit the skies, however she quickly hid the reaction covering it up with a light smile. To bring in someone like him over a family dispute? If there is anyone crazy here it is definitely the Hynes.
The lawyer was Bai Lou Zhang, a world renown lawyer who won thousands of famous cases across the world. He could instill fear in anyone's heart. The Hynes definitely came prepared this time, luckily so did she.
”The medical records for Rory Hynes?” Straight to the point, Victor Hynes automatically questioned Bai Lou Zhang.
”Yes, they are right here.” Bai Lou Zhang went to a table in the room and set down his briefcase. He then opened it and took out a light brown folder. Without delay he handed it to Victor before standing at the chair side.
”Now.” Victor looked back at Rory. ”What are you trying to prove.”
”In the medical record you will see the description for the cuts. One cut, more likely the first cut, was made on my left arm. It was a deeper cut than the second one and the line was more stable. Any doctor would tell you that the person who delivered that cut would have to be right handed.”
The room went quiet while Victor looked at the medical records. His face became a bit complicated when he realized that Rory was telling the truth.
”This wasn't a suicide, it was an attempted murder. Someone made an attack on the Hynes family” The coldness threaded in the words made everyone stiffen up.
In their minds they didn't care at all about a waste like Rory being killed, nevertheless he was a Hynes. If they said their true thoughts they would definitely get a dissatisfied look from Victor Hynes.
