34 Chapter 34 : Austin 3:16 lol (2/2)

Kenji tensed up, but he still said no. Kenji backhanded the butt of his sword into his head three times before he was knocked out. Kenji dispelled the mist. He had to admit. He liked this strategy. He just had to greatly improve his speed. Maybe add some spice in there as well. He grabbed a key from Stone Cold's pocket and released the women. They thanked Kenji tremendously. And it turns out, Stone Cold lied. Instead of ****, him and his gang just beat them. It was another way to blow off steam, but still. Sadistic. Kenji was disgusted. And glad he had the heart to say no. It made him want to shred that man to pieces even more though, but he didn't for Jiraiya's sake.

Outside the compound, the ladies followed him, supporting each other along the way. Kenji carried one princess style, her injuries were moderate. He fired a great fireball Jutsu into the air. Several men from the villages came running, to support the victim couples. But some others came running also. Actually, they were here before Kenji could blink. The Leaf Anbu. Kenji stayed focused and kept his veiny face and white eyes on. He still didn't trust ANYONE with that mask. No matter what village. The prisoners were rounded up and taken to prison. Kaito worked all night. The Leaf was kind enough to send medical supplies, so Kaito was grateful. He thanked Kenji, as well as every other villager. Some even fell to their knees in thanks.

Kenji felt another feeling he never felt before. It wasn't arrogance or pride. It was something he didn't recognize. He'd have to figure this out when Jiraiya returned.

-----------------

After three months....

Kenji delivered a basket of potatoes and rice to every house. Over the past few weeks, he worked with another few men in the fields. Since he arrived here, Kenji started to love this village. Away from all the strife of the big ninja villages. Everyone relied on each other, helped each other. No matter how small the issue. Kenji even taught the young kids how to through kunai and a few basic ninja procedures. Kenji was always quiet and kept to himself mostly, besides when he taught the kids. The villagers respected his privacy, since he did help them. Everyone started seeing Kenji as a part of the town. Kaito and his wife were happy again and treated Kenji well. A part of their own household. The only thing was, Kenji missed Aya. Too much. He missed his team a lot, but seeing the loving attitude of Kaito's wife every day only brought sadness for him because he didn't confide in Aya nearly at all, since they moved to the Leaf.

When he was alone and not missing his family, Kenji thought about everyone he'd kill when he went back to the Mist. At first, he didn't want to spare anyone, but now, he thought the civilians were fine. They didn't do anything. But everyone else, he plotted every body part and strand of sanity he would steal from them. All of it.

Before he knew it, Jiraiya showed up. Kenji was washing some clothes outside, when Jiraiya managed to walk right up to him.

”Well, I guess your senses have dulled.” Jiraiya laughed.

”I let you sneak up on me. So you'd think my senses have dulled. If you tried anything, you'd be proven wrong.” Kenji stared at the man. He didn't smile. Kenji almost had no sense of what a smile felt like lately, but his tone hinted at one.

”Huh. Whatever you say kid.” Jiraiya sat beside him. Kenji kept to his washing. ”I'm guessing you like this place, since you're doing laundry and stuff.”

”Yeah, I guess.”

”Did you complete the mission?”

”Yep, no one was killed either.”

Jiraiya smiled. ”Okay. I believe you.” He stood up and stretched. ”It might take a while, but I thought up my plan for you...training wise.”

Kenji stopped his activity and listened.

”Let's get to it.”

Tried to fit everything into one chapter. I feel like Stone Cold's personality is the same as real life. lol. Lots of alcohol. Getting into the opponents head. That was fun. I'm pretty dark, but I can't stand **** in stories like this. So there you go. This was the halfway point for Kenji, so I'll pick up with Rei or Sasuke in the next chapter. I'm not sure if theirs will last as long, but when the rotation gets around to kenji again I have a whole other section planned for him. It's pretty good. Not to toot my own horn. Jiraiya will finally tell Kenji the point of his 'lesson' too so look forward to that. The 'wraith' is forming in the horizon. One or two more things and he'll be complete. hehe. I'm out. YERRR!
