Kenji barely blocked the broken bottle swipe at his chest. Both figures danced in the confined room, eight prisoners looking on with anticipation. Stone Cold grunted with satisfaction while he forced Kenji into the wall, leaving an imprint of his body. After a few seconds, Kenji slowly emerged from the rock wall. A trail of blood leaked from his mouth. He flexed his white pupils. Then, he had an idea. Aya's core teaching of her sword style was speed. Quick solid swipes and pokes into the opponent. Widdle them down until they loose their footing, the core of fighting, and deliver the final blow.
Kenji had seen Aya perform this multiple times, but he had never tried it. He decided to give it a go. Stone Cold seemed to gain speed and strength with every drop of alcohol he ingested, so Kenji figured if he couldn't see, how could he use it. Kenji performed the seal of confrontation.
He whispered, ”Hidden Mist Jutsu”. A release of steam and fog pushed from his mouth, engulfing the entire room in fog. Kenji unsheathed his sword and took a deep breath. Stone Cold tried to hide his uncertainty. He'd seen this jutsu only a few times, both were narrow escapes.
All Stone Cold heard was a woosh. The next thing, he saw the blur of two white deathly eyes flash by.Stone Cold still pushed with his bottle. He ended with a slash to the chest, but not before puncturing Kenji'sleft arm. Kenji retreated into the mist. Aya made this look so easy. She was definitely faster than Kenji. Instead of training his speed to the max like she suggested, Kenji attempted to train his emotions like the Commander told him. He regretted that.
”You must be conflicted there son. You got a dern Leaf headband, but yer usin the Mist Jutsu. You got to be an outcast like me then, right?” Stone Cold smirked while looking around the fog. He wore a face like he'd hit it right on the money.
Kenji was plastered onto the wall to his left, thinking about what he said. Partly, it was true.
Stone Cold continued. ”Why don't you join me boy. We could plunder and kill anything and anyone we wanted to. Get all the riches, **** all the women. AHHHHH. IT'D BE GLORIOUS. THINK ABOUT IT KID!!!!!”
And Kenji did. He hesitated. He didn't know what he was fighting for in the first place. It's not like the entire Leaf was his family. Why risk his life for any of them besides himself.
Images of Aya and Team 7 came to mind. If not for them, he wouldn't even still have this Leaf insignia on his forehead.
Kenji contemplated.
”I reckon you went through some stuff in tha past, but that don't matter now kid. With me, you can live for yaself, do anything for yaself, and be yerself.” Stone Cold lowered his tone, trying to sound compassionate.
Kenji glanced at the women chained up. They could clearly see his white gaze. He was only a few feet away. Instead of that fear, that contempt, that Kenji was always met with, it was hope. Hope that he, would save them from this situation. Their faces looked like they had already been through hell. But they still believed. Kenji's fist clenched the black, broken-in handle of his sword. Those ladies were the only reason he needed to finish this. He owed Kaito and his neighbors for the hospitality, and now, he even found the heart to want to finish this for himself.
Kenji burst from the wall, pushing with as much speed as he had. He threw a kunai and grabbed onto Stone Cold's back. The kunai sailed to Stone Cold's side, so he didn't worry about it. Just an unlucky throw, he thought. Until Kenji grunted, attached to his torso and angled his face towards the kunai. When the knife was lost into the fog, an explosive tag trailed behind it, with ninja wire, about six feet behind the blade. Before Stone Cold could do anything, it exploded. Kenji took cover behind the man. He was large enough to safely shield four Kenjis.
Stone Cold's face was in the process of melting and he was still standing, covering his eyes. He swiped at Kenji back and forth. Kenji disappeared and reappeared. Back and forth. Slashing his tendons, rendering him helpless. Stone Cold fell to his knees, Kenji had cut him seventy four times. He was counting. Seventy four times and the big man was down.
Kenji stood over him.
”Kill me!!!!” Stone Cold sounded desperate. ”PLEASE, I'D RATHER DIE THAN GO BACK TO PRISON!”
Kenji stood there, remembering Jiraiya's words. He would not do it.
Stone Cold smiled. ”I RAPED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE WOMEN BACK THERE!!! NOW YOU WANNA KILL ME RIGHT!?!?!?!?!?”
