Disciples started going through the barrier and get separated towards two arenas according to their cultivation levels.
Suddenly a loud boom was heard and the orange colored barrier gate became red and a guy was flung out bleeding all over.
Meng He Shan looked over calmly and said ”This is what you get for trying to fool people. If disciples below seventh level or in Qi gathering level try to enter the barrier gate, they will be attacked immediately.”
Then only surrounding people understood what happened and calmed down. Zhu Xuan walked to the right arena and picked a token from the pot with a number 57; after that he sat on the side of the arena with other disciples waiting for everyone to pass through the barrier.
Finally after half an hour, preliminary selections was over and there was a total of 126 disciples from seventh to ninth level and 89 disciples from tenth to twelfth level of body purification stage.
Meng He Shan stood up again and explained ”The first token and the last token from each arena will fight, and the number second token and last from second token fight the second match, and it goes on like this. If it is an odd number, the disciple with the middle number will pass the round without fighting. In the next round, every disciple will be asked to take the token again and the same method will follow until only ten disciples left. Finally, the top ten disciples each will have to fight other nine and will be ranked based on the number of wins and loss.”
He paused and continued ”Disciples are not allowed to seriously injure or kill others in the arena matches or you will be disqualified from the selection. Now let's begin the arena match.”
