106 Chapter 19: Winter, Anise and Jake (1/2)
Over the next few days, Rose had noticed a change in Anise as she wasn't eating as much. Of course, nor her mother or brother noticed but Griffin did.
She knows when a person is starting to buckle under bullying.
This was Jake's first game after Recovering for a long time, Rose watched as her cousin nearly cried as he his team won the game. Jean was holding Winter as they were walking to their restaurant. Jake and Jean get along well. You can guess that Jean is really likable and easy to get along with. Jake stopped as he saw a sports shop with some sweet kicks, they were just eye candy for Jake as he was glued to the window admiring the shoes. Jean commented to Winter on how silly his Uncle Jake is.
While Rose looked elsewhere as she saw Anise being pushed into an alleyway. Making Rose dash in their direction.
”DOES YOUR FAT ASS THINK IM A BIGGER? EVEN IF YOU GIVE HIM TO ME, I WON'T TAKE HIM?” she heard Mimi familiar screeching. And then she started kicking Anise, with her follower eventually joining him.
”Whoa! It's the new uprising model Mimi” Jake said as he had held up his phone and started recording, just as Rose was about to go and save her. Mimi suddenly paused and started glaring at Jake. ”I would let go of her” he glared back.
”Fine, just delete it” she glared

”Whatever it is, just delete it ”
”too, late I already uploaded it to your company's website and posted it on YouTube” he smiled as he really had done that.
Bzzz, Mimi's phone rang, when she looked at it her face paled as she took off with her gang of girls.
Rose had already helped Anise up who was dazing admirably at Jake. Jean snorted as Rose smiled back at him as if to say ”don't make fun”
”Anise we 're on our way to Chiyo's, would you like to join,” Rose said to Anise who was gazing at Jake who went to Jean to show him the video on his phone.
From the restaurant until all the way back home Anise had not stopped gazing at Jake. Jake was clueless while Jean kept looking at Rose smugly.
It seems that Anise's attitude changed entirely toward Rose. Griffin was relieved that Anise was feeling better, but he was even more happy at the fact that Anise seems to appreciate Rose more. He looked like he grown some years younger. Anthony didn't change, he still spends time with Winter, but he still won't admit that Winter is his son. Anna has been quiet lately, however, she seems to be close to her breaking point.
Rose walked out of Griffin's office with Winter she, she had made him a little sad today. Tonight, she is going to start packing. Her mother had booked a flight for England tomorrow, they had talked about it last night. Meggs was in front of her with a soft smile, but her eyes were somewhat different.
”She will take care of Winter for today,” Anna said coldly.
