17 First Gym Battle 1 (2/2)
Saad smiled seeing this and said,
”Ralts Use Psychic and hit with the boulders surrounding it.”
Ralts crossed his arms and when he opened them they began to glow as the boulders surrounding it started to rise in the air. He then moved the boulders and threw them heavily on the confused Pokemon who was moving around recklessly without any sense of direction.
The boulders fell heavily on the rolling Pokemon making him uncurled as he fell heavily on the ground under the weight of huge rocks.
”Ralts! Finish it with Magical Leaf”
Ralts quickly attacked the fallen Pokemon with strong Magical Leaves causing it to turn unconscious.
”Geodude is unable to battle. Ralts wins”.
Seeing that he finally defeated the opponent, Ralts cheered and smiled sweetly at Saad who could not help but feel an urge to go and hug this little guy.
Rocky who was has been strangely inactive since Geodude was struck with the Confusion attack smiled and complimented Saad,
”It was amazing that you knew how to properly counter Geodude with that Ralts.”
Saad who was already happy after defeating opponent's first Pokemon, beamed, even more, when he heard the compliment,
”Thank You!”
”But it will not be so easy this time. Onix! I choose you”, Rocky smiled and threw a Pokeball.
The Pokeball flashed red and with a loud roar, a humongous Pokemon appeared in front of Ralts, who could not help but tremble after seeing the scary looking giant chain of rocks in front of him.
Rocky smiled at Saad who was standing solemnly at the other side of the arena without any intention of calling back his Pokemon and commanded,
”Onix! Use Tackle”
The huge Pokemon let out an angry roar and rushed straight at the little Ralts with amazing speed.
”Ralts! Dodge it”, Saad shouted as he saw the Onix charge forward.
But what happened next baffled Saad as he saw that Ralts who was supposed to dodge the upcoming Pokemon stood there trembling as he stared at Onix with eyes full of fear and soon the huge Pokemon collided with the little Pokemon sending it flying outside the arena.
”Ralts!!!”
Saad shouted and rushed towards the unconscious Pokemon and after verifying that it was fine, he put it back in the Pokeball as he stood up from the ground and stared at the huge Onix.
Rocky smiled and said,
”Your Ralts need more battles.”
Saad looked towards Rocky and nodded while fully understanding what he meant to say. Ralts was a little inexperienced in battles making him a little short on confidence, resulting him to be unable to handle the pressure from the huge Onix.
”So, who is your next choice?”, asked Rocky
Saad smiled and threw a Pokeball towards the arena.
”Monferno! I choose You”
