Travis. It was a long time since I saw him, but he didn't change much. Previously he was surrounded by five beauties, and it looks like his luck with women is still there. A little bit behind there were three women, waiting for him, different from the previous ones.
”Thanks, Travis, its good to see you too.”
”How did you enter the university? Entrance exams are still a few months away.” He said.
”My Master helped me. I just joined today.”
”And you picked up a sword. Want to spar?”
”Sure.” we started exchanging attacks, but with Travis's strength he couldn't get near my speed.” You can use your martial technique.” I said. If he does it, his speed would increase maybe increasing to my basic speed.
”Are you sure about this?” he asked mid-swing. But in that swing, I felt his strength increasing. He wasn't channeling his martial technique yet, he was ready to it though.
”Do it.” When my words fell, the strange of his swings increased, surpassing even my basic strength by a small margin. His attacks filled with power, fast and accurate. Defending became harder with each second that passed, but I persisted.
”Should we stop now?” Ten minutes after the fight started, we were still going at it. I got used to his higher speed and defense became easier. But Travis was already drenched in sweat. His stamina was relatively low when compared to mine.
I lowered my stance and stopped the fight. ”It was a good spar,” I said. Around us, there were people starring. Most of them looked astonished by the fight that just took place. Even the teacher looked surprised.
”Let's get water,” Travis said. We left the room and got water from a vending machine. ”So, what brought you here? People don't usually join in the middle of the year.”
”There were circumstances. How are you doing since we saw each other last time? Did you win?”
”We did. Overwhelmingly. You were right, I still need to thank you for that. If not for your help at that time, we would've failed spectacularly.”
”There is no need to thank me if you see someone like yourself that time, help them. That will be enough.”
”I sure will. Look I have classes, why don't we meet later? Today at six?”
”Sorry, I have plans. But I will see you in the next swordsmanship class.”
We talked for a while, at one point Travis started talking about swords, and got so into it he was late for his next class. While he was rushing for his class, I checked the timetable and found that the Seals class will be starting in two hours.
I went back to the special class building, and there started to train. With not being able to use the symbols for long range attacks, I started practicing more with the Gliding Blade. While it orbited around me, I practiced shadow punching.
It was difficult, every few punches or when I lost sight of the blade for too long, I would lose control of it. Maybe I was doing this too fast. I stopped moving and sat down. I started by moving the Gliding Blade behind me and trying not to lose control of it while I couldn't see it.
