10 Luring the Prey (1/2)
Fang entered his house, unafraid of the chaotic scene behind him. He was, in fact, excited to the extreme! Such an opportunity he had found...for cultivators to deliver themselves to his front door was simply too good to be true!
As soon as he closed the door, he heard a series of sharp knocks. Smiling to himself, he opened the door.
”Yes...?” he spoke.
Tang Yunxin stared at the innkeeper before scowling. Shaking his head, he barged into the inn.
”Innkeeper, arrange your best room for me!” he spoke, waving his hand dismissively.
Smiling politely, Fang nodded.
”Of course, patron!” he spoke.
Rushing to his cupboard, he gave Tang the keys to the best room.
”1,000 silvers,” he said, laughing to himself within the dark void of his own head.
Tang Yunxin stared at the innkeeper. Frowning, he began searching his pockets. He had not expected the rooms to be so expensive!
”It appears... I do not have the money on me right now!” he spoke through gritted teeth.
Fang's face fell.
”If you don't have the money to pay, please leave patron. We cannot afford any free-loaders,” he replied.
Tang Yunxin's face contorted in an ugly expression.
