9 Master of Ice (1/2)

An enormous icicle hung in the sky. With a powerful swish, it flew downwards, crashing into the ground. Shards of ice flew up into the air, chips of ice spraying everywhere.

Alarmed, Fang ran outside. Two cultivators with fierce expressions on their faces were battling it out. Squinting his eyes, Fang began to observe the duo's battle.

”You have crossed the young master of the Nie family! You shall not escape alive!” a man in a flamboyant red shirt cried.

The other, dressed in a jade blue robe, merely laughed at him.

Growling, the other man thrust his fist out causing a large ball of flame to fly roaring towards his opponent's head.

The blue-robed man deftly avoided the attack, smirking slightly. Raising his hands, he muttered an incantation.

A large ball of ice formed in front of him. It pulsated with a hidden light. Slowly it cracked into pieces, releasing a cold and dangerous aura. The entire ground froze over completely, making every step treacherously slippery.

The red-robed man gritted his teeth. He had been confined to his current location as any attempt to move would most likely result in an injury. Roaring, he summoned a large ball of flame and thrust it towards the blue-robed man. With this, he unveiled a spear and threw it behind the orb of flame.

The blue-robed manifested a shield, blocking the ball of flame. The spear hit the shield and it slowly began to crack.

BOOM!

There was a loud explosion as the shield broke. However, the spear remained where it was.

The smoke cleared slowly. The blue-robed man held the spear with the tips of his fingers, pinching together like a vise, exerting an enormous pressure. Laughing, he pressed slightly.

The spear cracked into several pieces. There was a flash of orange light as the fire ifrit sealed inside made it's escape.

The man in red looked incredulous.

”You....you...,” he stuttered.

”YOU DESTROYED MY SPEAR!” he screamed, the loss piercing his very soul.
