85 Supplementary Tests (2/2)
”Eight?”
”I didn't hear wrong right?”
Many of the students gaped in disbelief and shock. Lu Fengyi had swept them aside with the highest score in history for their age group, displaying almost completely flawless marks in the first three sections and causing even their usually completely calm teacher to become speechless, however of all the subjects to fail, he had failed Chinese. One must know that as long as one communicated in Chinese on a daily basis to other people, they would be able to obtain decent marks. That is to say that grabbing a random person off the streets would result in a higher mark than eight, and not by a small margin either. The standard score would be above forty for sure. Achieving what Lu Fengyi had, yet still failing the easiest subject to pass, that was unthinkable.
The room grew loud with discussion and many students ran up to Lu Fengyi with incredulous faces.
”Hey, hey! Are you a foreigner?”
”How did you manage to get so low?”
”To think that even the genius has his flaws...”
Lu Fengyi displayed a wry grin at the comments. Even he had no expected this outcome. Turning towards Yang Boyi, Lu Fengyi called out with a worried expression, ”Is there any punishment for obtaining such a low score?”
How twisted this was! Within his heart, Yang Boyi did not want to punish the most genius student in history of their academy, however as a teacher, he had to follow official procedures.
”Lu Fengyi, since you failed Chinese to this extent, I will have to give you a punishment. Taking into account your excellence in all other subjects, your sentence will be to complete supplementary test in Chinese until you pass.”
Xie Yao let out a sigh of relief. While she had never met this Lu Fengyi before, it was still comforting to see a fellow student escape severe punishment. Generally, if a student got as low as 8 in a compulsory subject like Chinese, then they would have to serve every afternoon completing supplementary lessons, and even if they got themselves back up to scratch, they would still be held there for detention, a punishment that no student would want to have. That's the main reason why even the dropkicks of the school would get enough marks to at least clear themselves of getting punished.
Lu Fengyi breathed a sigh of relief. Since it was only until he could pass the tests, there was no need to worry about losing too much game time, and that was only if his first few lessons went over 5pm as well. If he had to stay back learning something that he had used all his life, wasting precious time that he could be spending in investment and exercising his body, that would truly be tragic.
After reading out the rest of the results, Yang Boyi dismissed the students before quickly instructing Lu Fengyi some supplementary homework that would aid him in his following examination.
Taking a look at the time on his phone, Lu Fengyi planned out the remaining hour and a half before he had to get home and start playing Conviction at 5pm. Since he was only several minutes walk from the supermarkets, his most optimal course of action would be to first pick up some strength building tonics so that he could become more powerful. After that, he would go around and see if there were any decent gyms and other important locations before returning home. For the most part, he just needed to scout out the area to see what resources he could make use of.
Just as he left the school grounds, a notification from the system sounded out.
[ You have received a compulsory quest. Would you like my to read it out? ]
Lu Fengyi nodded.
[ The latest quest will help you on the way to becoming a better Shadow Assassin. Part one of this quest is, kill a monster 6 levels above you ]
