20 A night of terror. 2 (2/2)
”Dad, he is not there...!” Ken rushed back to the workshop with a javelin and a few long swords to meet up with Ryu and Lia.
”Ken...leave with your mother...” Ryu said slowly as he looked softly towards Ken.
”Dad, the deal was, I have to leave if and only if Areon falls, but Areon hasn't fell yet. I am staying.” Ken declared as he stomped his foot on the ground.
Something suddenly passed Ken's mind which made him open his eyes wide. ”Dad, stay here and keep an eye out for the demons. I will be back in a few minutes.” Ken rushed out of the house with the javelin.
”Ken! Wait!” A frantic Lia tried to stop Ken, but nevertheless failed to stop him.
”Miss Nariko!! the defence broke!!! the demons entered the west side of the city. What do we do now?” A protector came running to Nariko.
'BOOOOOMMMM!!!' The glass ball shattered into pieces sending a distress signal towards all the direction. A ring of blue energy made its way through the city and spread to all of Yodha.
”We have no choice...command all the troops to evacuate the city and send the civilians deep into the south. Hopefully the neighbouring city would rush to save them.” Nariko ordered as she took a deep breathe looking around the office before heading out.
As if a demon was woken up from his slumber, someone far away from the city woke up to look towards Areon.
”What's happening out there? An overly exhausted Izumi supported herself against the wall and looked outside the city, only to witness a city engulfed in raging fire.
'Hreee....' A sound came from her behind. Izumi turned around quickly as she moved back a few steps. A demon with red blood eyes was standing in the shadows of her room.
Izumi's sword was in the living room and she had no way to fight. But she was not a women who would go down without a fight. The demon raised his sword to slice her into two, but he was too slow for Izumi as she slid past him and ran towards the living room.
The demon chased her into the living room. He was about to slice the back of Izumi, but by the time he could land a strike, a sword made it's way through his chest. Izumi stood on him to draw her sword out of his chest only to sense that he wasn't the only one who entered her home silently.
A demon jumped towards her from the dark ceiling as he prepared to devour her.
'Shiiiing...Uhhh...' Blood flew all around the house but it wasn't red in colour, it was green.
A shocked Izumi stared at the demon pinned to the wall with an energized Javelin pierced through his gut, as green blood fell slowly onto the ground.
”An Energized JAVELIN...!!!” Izumi exclaimed with a very perplexed face as she looked towards the man who threw it.
”An Energized JAVELIN...!!! Ken exclaimed as his face displayed the same emotions as that of Izumi.
”Why the hell are you surprised, KEN!!!? You were the one who threw it!” Izumi shouted with a puzzled face.
