6 Day 5: The Scum Is A Wolf In Sheeps Clothing (2/2)
Chen Han, Fei Yin, Li Tian and Feng Mo are glaring at him, itching to kill him. Sun Yi just remained indifferent.
”Enough.” It was Luo Shi. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Wu Yuan.
Wu Yuan froze.
”I didn't teach you to be this disrespectful towards other disciples.” He told him, his eyes cold. ”Even if that disciple is of other sect.” he added, his voice cold.
Wu Yuan bowed, ashamed. ”This disciple is wrong. This disciple begs for shifu's forgiveness.” He said, his voice shaking.
”Ask for forgiveness of theirs first.” Ming Ye said and looked at the three disciples of the Newfound Sect.
Wu Yuan's face clearly showed a restrained anger. ”Yes.” He answered, then turned to Fei Yin, Li Tian and Feng Mo. ”This senior brother apologizes for saying harsh words towards your fellow brother.” He told them, gritting through his teeth. He'd never say Chen Sheng's name.
But, the three just looked at him blankly. The damage has been done.
”We ask for the elders' forgiveness for us being disrespectful.” It was Feng Mo who spoke. He bowed to Ming Ye and Luo Shi.
Fei Yin and Li Tian followed, totally ignoring Wu Yuan. Wu Yuan's face went red, mad. Sun Yi patted his shoulder, calming him.
The two elders nodded.
”We personally know Fang Wen.” Luo Shi said. He's referring to the sole elder and master of the Newfound Sect. ”As well as Xie Lan.” He added. ”They're our junior brothers back when we're still studying.” He explained. ”And we're proud of them. We know the two of them.” He said, then glanced at Wu Yuan after he said the last sentence.
Wu Yuan and Sun Yi are his direct disciples. Chen Han is Ming Ye's direct disciple.
Clearly, Ming Ye and Luo Shi knows their junior brothers', Fang Wen and Xie Lan, attitude, and so they know who's on the wrong. If they still didn't figure it out after hearing those words come out of Wu Yuan's mouth earlier, then they must be blind – in more ways than one!
Fei Yin, Li Tian and Feng Mo looked at each other, surprised. They didn't know about this matter, since they don't know much about their master, much less their founder.
”We thank the elders for their great understanding.” The three said, then bowed.
The two elders nodded. ”Let's now discuss the matter of the corpse's head.” they said.
Their face went serious.
”We didn't know as of now in which level is that head is. We can't just be careless and hunt it directly.” Ming Ye said.
”Then, what should we do, shifu?” Chen Han asked.
Ming Ye didn't answer.
”Elder Ming and I will personally meet this head.” Luo Shi answered.
”We're going, too.” Fei Yin said. They looked at him. He bowed. ”On behalf of our master, we – I, Brother Li and Brother Feng, are going to accompany Elder Ming and Elder Luo of the Promising Sect.” he said and looked at them. ”Also, it's in our sect's premises, so we'll be accountable if something happens to the two Elders of the other sect.” he explained.
”We expect you'd say that.” Ming Ye smiled. ”We don't disagree, though.” He said and looked at Luo Shi.
Luo Shi nodded, a faint smile on his face.
Fei Yin nodded and bowed. ”Many thanks, Elder Ming. Elder Luo.” He said. Li Tian and Feng Mo followed.
”I'm going, too, shifu.” Chen Han said and bowed. They all looked at him. He stood straight and looked at his master. ”I met and has a direct contact with the head when I saved my younger brother.” He explained.
”Very well.” Ming Ye said.
Wu Yuan has an ugly look on his face. ”I'm going, too.” He said, frowning and glaring at the Newfound Sect disciples.
”You can't.” Luo Shi answered, his voice flat.
”Why – ” Wu Yuan was about to ask when Luo Shi's eyes narrowed. His lips shut tight.
It was a Silencing Spell.
”One disciple from our sect is enough.” Luo Shi said. ”No need to add more. Also – ” he said, his eyes cold as he looks at his disciple. ”Don't forget your offense to the Newfound Sect.” he said, then his voice lowered, giving warning. ”Since I don't tolerate and never will these acts. I also didn't teach you to forget the grievances you made to other people. Am I wrong?” he asked and looked at the silent Sun Yi.
Sun Yi bowed and respectfully answered. ”Shifu is not wrong. This disciple clearly remembers shifu's teachings.” He said and stood straight. ”I hope shifu forgives Brother Wu.” He said and bowed again.
Luo Shi just coldly glanced at Wu Yuan. Being the head disciple of the sect, as well as the future successor of the sect had gone to his head.
”We'll be leaving at one this afternoon.” Luo Shi told them.
”Yes!” they answered and bowed.
After that, Ming Ye and Luo Shi chatted with the Newfound Sect disciples and asked about how Fang Wen and Xie Lan are, which greatly shocked Fei Yin, Li Tian and Feng Mo, since they didn't know Ming Ye and Luo are also doting.
They are doting seniors of Fang Wen and Xie Lan.
”A Promising Sect disciple?” Chen Sheng said after Lei Ling told him that the informant he's talking about earlier is his friend from the Promising Sect. ”And he's your friend?” he added.
Lei Ling nodded. ”Yes.” He answered. ”We came from the same hometown.” He explained. He knows that Chen Sheng's view of everybody are the same, and so he knows that Chen Sheng doesn't criticize and isn't prejudiced with the disciples from the other sects.
It was clearly shown on the meeting earlier at the Grand Hall of the Promising Sect. Chen Sheng never spoke, nor reacted with the gossips regarding the matter between the two sects.
Chen Sheng looked at Lei Ling, clearly knows what's Lei Ling's thinking. He didn't say anything.
For one, he's a scum, not a saint. Him not being prejudiced or discriminating others... it's just him uninterested in everything other than his life. ”How did he know about this, anyway?” he just asked as they walk back to the pavilion where they left earlier.
”Brother Wen told me he heard it at around the town this morning.” Lei Ling answered. ”He heard the townsfolk are talking about someone from a town of another sect, and so he got curious and asked.” He explained, then smiled.
Obviously, this Brother Wen of Lei Ling is a gossiper, too. If not, then why should he tell Lei Ling about this important matter that would benefit other sects?
Chen Sheng sighed at the thought. For once, gossipers became useful to him. ”Did he say anything about the direction where the head of the corpse flew away?” he asked and leaned on the wall when they reached the pavilion.
This time, Lei Ling shook his head. ”Unfortunately, it's only about the news of the man that were talked about.” He answered, sighing. He's disappointed, too.
Chen Sheng stared at Lei Ling. Lei Ling is around 24, but in Chen Sheng's view, he's still naïve. If Lei Ling is not naïve, how can he believe that man? Even if the two of them came from the same hometown, but since they're from different sects, of course he wouldn't tell Lei Ling about the head of the corpse, albeit if there really is or not news of it.
”Junior Brother Lei.” He called.
”Yes?” Lei Ling said, still feeling down. He must feel that he's not useful to Chen Sheng.
Chen Sheng sighed. ”Don't tell anybody about this.” he told him.
”Yes?” Lei Ling said, then blinked. He looked at Chen Sheng. ”Why?” he asked, puzzled. ”How about Senior Brother Fei, Senior Brother Li and Senior Brother Feng?” he asked.
”What about us?” a voice came from behind Chen Sheng.
The author (and Chen Sheng ft. Lei Ling) has something to say:
Chen Sheng: That Brother Wen of yours is smart.
Lei Ling: *face lit up. He sure is!
Chen Sheng: *in mind. Since he's really shrewd. Not disclosing any information of the head of the corpse.
Lei Ling: ... also... Brother Wen is handsome... *blushes.
Chen Sheng: ... am I too late to think this story is BL?
Gray Dragon: ... no. It's yaoi (danmei in Chinese).
