Meanwhile, Artoria was somewhat against Rafi's idea of war at first. As in her mind, Rafi was similar to an invader that threatened world's peace. However, she finally relented to participate in the war after Rafi explained his true goals. He also persuaded her with the conditions of not actively taking enemies lives, and only to protect Illyasviel. Artoria, after sighed at Rafi's lecherous intention, agreed to protect Illyasviel in the battlefield. Beside because of Rafi's request, protecting Illyasviel was also her desire, as she realized Illyasviel's battlelust was incited after hearing Rafi's explanation.

With the cooperation of reanimated shinobi and Illyasviel's magecraft bombardments, the battle between both sides were finally won by Illyasviel's group as the Commando Unit were defeated. Although there were not many lives loss on Alliance side, but most of them couldn't entered another battlefield again for the current war. Omoi was quickly knocked out at their first clash, as he tried to attack Artoria. While Kankuro was knocked out by Artoria after he tried to attack Illyasviel using Sasori's puppet body. As Artoria realized with her Instinct, that puppet used by Kankuro was threatening Illyasviel's life.

”Hmm, Rafi did say to leave them with their lives if possible, but some of them are really persistent aren't they, Artoria. Only that one man could read the situation and escape quickly.” Illyasviel shook her lovely head slightly as she was looking at some of the cold corpses in front of her.

”This is war, Illya. Casualties are considered normal occurence in a war. But, it is a bit regrettable that Rafi does all of this only to reach her.”

”He he, it is just like him to do this for a woman isn't it. Or, are you jealous of her? Rafi did go to a great length of going back in time to reach you after all.” Illyasviel said as she was smiling teasingly to Artoria.

”Who...who says I am jealous?!! Let's go back, Illya! Ahh, I will really punch him hard after this!” Artoria said flusteredly as she grabbed Illyasviel suddenly and brought her back to Akatsuki's hideout. The reanimated shinobi, which was lacking Sai's brother, then went to another battlefield. As Kabuto felt that the other fronts were lacking in force.

”He he, Artoria is really cute~~” Illyasviel was giggling slightly as she was carried up by Artoria.
