64 Chapter 59 - May You Repea (2/2)
Kasumi and Hanae froze in their spot, hoping if they didn't move that it wouldn't anger their mother even more.
Kokoro cleared her throat and asked, ”Dear daughter, may you repeat what you said?”
Kasumi didn't say anything for a few seconds, deathly afraid. After a while, she grew enough courage to say, ”Mo-mother. Ryota got a fiancee yesterday. He told me not to tell anyone today. We went to a cafe today to chat and talk and he said that I was go-”
Kokoro interrupted her with a scream, ”I don't care about your chat! Who is the fiancee, I'll destroy her!”
Kasumi trembled but responded, ”Mother, I don't know! They hid her identity. Apparently, she's the strongest young woman out there, she's younger than me! She'll be revealed when she comes of age, and then it'll be all over!”
Kokoro ground her teeth angrily, ”Hid her identity?”
She groans, ”I come back from my peaceful vacation to this mess?”
Kokoro sits down and rested her head on her arm. She breathed in and out a few times to calm herself before saying, ”We need a plan...”
She tapped her chin and thought, ”Well, the first thing we need to do is tell everyone about the engagement. Not only would we be angry about it, they would too. Everyone is rooting for you, of course they would stomp all over the royal plaza to demand someone to reveal her identity.”
Her daughters nodded their heads immediately, already preparing themselves about how they would sneakily spread the truth around.
Kokoro smiles, ”Next, we'll find out the girl's identity. She's probably some ugly nobody that got a lucky chance of having powerful gifts. In this world, gifts aren't the only things that matter. Grace, connections, social status, intelligence, and money are also things that matter. That pathetic example of a fiancee most likely has none of those things! We'll strike her where she is weakest, her emotions.”
Hanae raised an eyebrow, ”Why are assuming everything? What if she has everything you assumed she didn't, what would we need to do then?”
Kokoro sighs, ”That's only if matters turn grim. We'll need to kill her.”
