”No, means no. How do you understand it already? I will not sell the land to you or anyone else.” Elaine said to Sam with a stern voice. Elaine was getting sick of Sam coming over and over again, trying to buy the Gregory Orphanage off of her.

”What do you mean no?The fact that I'm willing to pay you a good amount of money, you should've accepted long ago,” Sam argued.

”Good money? you call that good money? You paying me $10,000 will barely last for the kids to survive! $10,000 isn't enough to buy a home for the kids. So why would I trade the roof over the kid's heads for money?

I've already looked for orphanages to take us in and all of them declined us as they didn't want a bigger burden then they already have. I would rather extend the time my kids have to live under roof, than taking your $10,000 that won't do anything for the kids well being.”

Elaine was adamant, she herself was an orphan as well and so she understood the pain as one. Even though what she was doing is just delaying the inevitable, all she wanted was roof she was taking care of. She didn't want see the kids living on the streets like she did.

”They are not my kids, so why should I care about them. They could live on the streets and I still wound give a shit about them. All I care is about the land. Wait no, I'll care about them once I own the land and have to kick them off for trespassing.”

Elaine couldn't believe what she just heard. She was shocked to see such a cruel person right in front of her. What type of person would want such innocent kids to suffer on the streets? She has seen terrible people as she grew up, but the person before her topped them all.

”Do you not have a soul? How could you not feel affected? Those are kids that barely old enough to survive society. They would be doomed the moment they are forced to live outside these walls!”

Sam could honestly care less. As someone who grew up with a silver spoon, he never cared about anyone under him. He thought that they were all tools to those that have power. Even though his father tried to teach him kindness, he threw the teaching all away as he thought that those under him doesn't deserve his kindness.

”Like I said, I don't care about those kids. Now, I'll ask you one more time, will you sell me the land or not.” Sam said threateningly.

Elaine ignored his threatening manner of speech and still rejected him ”Like I said before, No. Now may I ask you to leave the building.” Elaine turned away from Sam wishing when she turned around, Sam would be gone from the room.

”You should've the accepted money Elaine. Now I have to do something rather barbaric.” Sam then took a gun out behind his waste and pointed it Elaine's back.

Elaine felt something was wrong after hearing what Sam said around. The moment she turned around, her eyes widened in fright and shouted in fright. ”What are you doing?!”

”I'm gonna kill you of course. No one is gonna miss you and a few kids. On the news, It'll say that the orphanage burned down due to an accident. No one would question it, as who would want to destroy an orphanage right? Now then, lets get his over with.”

Sam then started to pull the trigger, but before he could fully pull the trigger. The door smashed opened surprising Sam. Then a masculine figure slammed into Sam knocking the gun in his hand away from onto the floor and himself onto the floor as well.

”Ms. Thornly are you ok?” a kid said as he ran towards Elaine who was still shocked in fright along side 2 other kids coming in the room behind him. The people who came into were exactly Reed and his group.

Seeing Kendall running towards her, Elaine snapped out of her shock and said to Kendall out of concern ”Kendall, what are you doing here? It's dangerous here right now you should leave.”

Kendall his head and replied back to Elaine as he pointed at Reed. ”There is no need to, that person told me that everything will be fine.”

”Who are you and what right do you have for assaulting me?” Sam spat venomously at Mark, who the person who knocked him down onto the ground.

Sam then heard a voice of a child speak up

” Who we are is something you shouldn't be worrying about right now and the right we had was stopping you from firing at innocent lady.” The person who spoke up was Reed. Listening how Sam was speaking about how he didn't care about kids one bit pissed him off.

He would've ordered Mark to take down Sam immediately, but he knew what it would've caused a scandal since a bodyguard assaulted a man without a reasonable cause. But when he heard Elaine scream in fright, he knew something was wrong and commanded to charge into the room.
