Chapter 68:Won (1/2)
Jomel looked at the enemy coming towards him.
He began to accept it and muttered.
”So, this... the... this is my time... I..... I... guess I'm gonna experience this a....a....again..”
He accepted his defeat, he can't do anything about it now that he doesn't have hope anymore. He didn't underestimate the enemy though, he just wants to try and fight it and see what he can do.
Earlier when it was moving he could've just left and destroyed the barrier, but he didn't, he thought he can win and he can witness his victory with his own eyes. He thought that Legendary beings are truly powerful, more powerful than he can imagine.
His goal is the first one, who can beat a Legendary Soul-Beast but even with type advantage, he still can't defeat the enemy. It was moving slowly, he looked at the rampaging jackal with a satisfied smile.
Truly magnificent, he gave it all. Even though he is defeated he is very much satisfied inside. This is glory, fighting by giving his all without showing fear to the enemy. He can only mutter at one last moment of his life.
”Sorry, francis I guess I can't meet your lovely sister..”
He really is concerned and hopeful that he can meet her. Francis loved his little sister even though he is obsessed. That love was pure and without any dirt. Just like the way he loved his little sister Huong.
He looked at the enemy but his focus is not on it, it was all blurry...
”Little Flower Sister, I hope I can finally meet you in the afterlife...”
Huong means Scent of flower in Vietnamese so He often calls her little sister flower.
Jomel closed his eyes.
This is the end...
...
...
...
Hmm?
The attack didn't come, and then he opened his eyes. With a touch of the wind, when looks at the jackals direction, he witnessed the Burning Jackal turned to dust on his last moment. He is astonished!
How could it be...?
He won...?
He couldn't laugh now, because he is tired and badly injured. Fortunately, he killed all the insect-Type of Soul-Beast earlier. He just won the life and death battle! This is glory, he didn't care if no one witnessed him winning but he won.
The bliss of winning a fight with an enemy close to your level is truly magnificent. He felt every bit of his cell rejoicing that he won. But again he was extremely injured by the last attack. The enemy's berserk made it stronger.
Even though it was burning.
Usually, when being burned, the attack of a Soul-Beast in this world would be cut in half. But somehow, the enemy's attack was still strong that it knocked him out just by a single hit of it. This is what he believes they call luck and coincidence.
But he disagreed, it was him who moved!
It was him who fought!
So, he should be thankful to himself.
Call it luck or something but he won with his own effort!
With his Soul-Beast Voltury.
He won with broken bones all over his body, if he knew how to block properly maybe he won't be like this.
