Chapter 126 - I Already Knew That. (2/2)

Hecathe's lips curled up in a small smile as he saw this and he couldn't help but feel as if the two were slowly starting to get along. Even if it was just for a few minutes, seeing them live in peace with each other really made Hecathe feel a bit happy.

”Master, this is really tasty!” The Dorgon exclaimed as he continued eating without any restrain.

LeiLei couldn't help but chuckle as she saw the Dorgon acting as if it had been starved.

”Sir, you should feed it well like this every day,” LeiLei spoke as she turned to look at Hecathe with a smile.

”Master, she has suddenly turned intelligent. You should listen to her!” The Dorgon switched sides easily for a few minutes as he commented.

Hecathe sighed as he nodded his head and responded to the girl, ”You're right. Eggy needs a lot of food to grow and I'm afraid I won't be able to always afford a healthy diet for him.”

LeiLei frowned as she heard this and thought that money was the problem so she spoke, ”Sir, I earned a lot of money today! I can also help.”

Hecathe was a bit surprised to hear this so he questioned, ”You earned money? How?”

LeiLei puffed her chest out proudly as she heard this question and answered, ”I collected a lot of those weird mutant beads. They fetched me quite a generous sum.”

”How much did you earn?”

”Fifty million!~” LeiLei confidently stated and Hecathe's eyes immediately widened in surprise.

For her to get so much money in a single day... It was certainly a bit hard to believe that she had only caught normal mutant beads.

”Were they pure mutant beads?” Hecathe frowned as he questioned in disbelief.

The girl nodded her head without any sense of hesitation as she heard this question, ”That's right. How did you know?”

Hecathe didn't know if he was supposed to laugh or cry as he heard this question.

By now, selling pure mutant beads was the only income source for Hecathe so of course, he knew that they would be the only ones capable of fetching such a great amount.

”How many did you sell?”

”A bit more than a hundred pure mutant beads,” LeiLei shrugged her shoulders as she casually answered and Hecathe was left even more shocked.

”Excuse me...?” Hecathe questioned in disbelief as he tilted his head, ”You sold hundred pure mutant beads for only fifty million...?!”

LeiLei had no idea how valuable mutant beads were in the black market auction so it was only natural that she didn't know the reason behind Hecathe's sudden reaction.

LeiLei nodded her head with a bit of confusion as she confirmed it and Hecathe sighed in disbelief as he rubbed his forehead.

”Never do that again,” Hecathe spoke as he informed and LeiLei blinked in confusion.

The girl clearly didn't know how much money she had lost and Hecathe was afraid that if he gave her the exact calculation, she might just pass out from the shock so the man decided that it was best not to let her know about the numbers.

”LeiLei, from next time onwards, if you collect pure mutant beads, bring them to me and I'll pay you ten times more for it.”

LeiLei's eyes widened as she heard this and the girl enthusiastically reacted almost immediately, ”Really?!”

Hecathe nodded his head as he firmly stated, ”You can trust me.”

”Okay, Sir! I'll bring it right to you!” LeiLei beamed, looking to be quite happy.

Now that she was also going to be a mage from the golden fire, she was not allowed to pay a visit to the black market auction nor was she allowed to sell the mutant beads to anyone that didn't belong to the guild.

It was in the contract that all mages signed in the very beginning when they joined the guild.

The guild forbade them from selling mutant beads personally and if they gave it over to the guild the mages and hunters would only get a certain percent of the profit. According to how high the member was ranked, the percent of profit would differ.

Since LeiLei was a fresh face in the guild, it need not even be said that she was given a really small percentage of the total profit which was also considered to be a big loss for her personally.
