Chapter 387 - Take Over the Project (1/2)
There were many issues to be looked at before they can decide what they wanted to do with the Tourism City project. Even if the mayor wanted to oust them, their shareholders would not necessarily agree.
As the shareholders were still discussing their project in B City, Chairman Li continued to negotiate with the mayor in hope that they will be able to continue the project and cooperation. Meanwhile, both Li Mu Bai and Li Ming Han was working to restore the company's reputation.
However, to restore their reputation in such a short time would be impossible.
Currently, a few of the companies around B City had tried to reach the QL Group and expressed their interest to purchase the project. However, both Li Mu Bai and Li Ming Han was reluctant to let the company sell this project.
They wanted to be able to continue working on the Tourism City, knowing that their cousin, Li Qin Yao had work hard on the project. If the project stayed in QL Group's, their cousin could still work on the project indirectly as an adviser.
After a few days, someone came to meet Li Qin Yao at the hotel.
Li Qin Yao went over to the coffee house and walked over to a table when she saw the person who was waiting for her. The man stood up and the two shook hands before they took a seat.
”President Mo, thank you for coming,” Li Qin Yao said and smiled. ”I should be the one who comes over to visit you, but you're here instead.”
”Don't worry. I have a few places to visit as well.”
Li Qin Yao watched as a waiter walked over with a menu and spoke again, ”President Mo, if there's anything you'd like to order, then go ahead. If you don't mind sweets, I can recommend Chef Qin's sweet treats.”
”It's fine. Just a cup of coffee will be enough,” Mo Cheng Feng smiled. ”I had my meal on the flight earlier.”
Since the man had declined, Li Qin Yao did not push him. ”President Mo, you should know that QL Group was unable to continue with the construction project after the scandal,” Li Qin Yao said. Then she told him about the situation that their company was facing.
Mo Cheng Feng stared at the coffee cup and looked up. ”How can I help you?”
”President Mo, would you be interested to take over the project?” Li Qin Yao suggested. ”Anyway, MH Group is one of the major investors for Tourism City. There shouldn't be a lot of problems if you take over. This way, I won't have to worry too much about the project.”
Mo Cheng Feng stared at the girl in front of him for a while and the corner of his lips tilted up into a smile. ”With MH Group's current financial, it would not be difficult to convince our shareholders to take over the Tourism City.” He stayed in silence for a while and continued, ”What are your conditions?”
Li Qin Yao took a deep breath. ”I won't ask for too much. Just that, I hope you can keep the QL's staff that has been working on the project since the very beginning. Then, I have to ask you not to make a lot of changes to Zhang's hotel building.”
His eyebrow rose. ”Even if I wanted to make a change, your husband wouldn't necessarily agree. I understand that he is the major investor in the Tourism City project, correct?”
A chuckle escaped her. ”You're right.”
Mo Cheng Feng sat there deep in his thought. After a minute has passed, he looked up again. ”Alright. I will discuss this matter with our team first and get back to you later.”

Mo Cheng Feng simply wanted the project to be completed within time. They have invested in the project and had no intention to let the money go to waste. Since everything had been arranged by Li Qin Yao's team previously, he intended to follow her plan without making too much change.
Although Li Qin Yao wanted to pull out from the project, Mo Cheng Feng would occasionally look for her and discuss the project development with her. In this way, it doesn't look as if she had left the project at all.
