Zhang Yu Han noticed her pale complexion and hugged her tightly. ”Hey, calm down. Don't think of anything and just listen to my voice, alright?”

Li Qin Yao nodded slowly. She gripped at his trench coat tightly as he continued to block her from everyone else.

Fortunately, Li Qin Yao was small enough to hide in his husband's embrace. As he wrapped his arms around her body, the voices all around her began to fade away as well. All she could hear right now was Zhang Yu Han's words, convincing her that everything will be alright.

”Can you walk?” Zhang Yu Han asked a few seconds later.

”Yes.”

”Then, let's go home. Don't worry. I will protect you.” Zhang Yu Han said. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and protected her from the others.

Li Qin Yao peeked from his arms and saw that Wei Jun Hao and a few others were at the scene as well. Wei Jun Hao spoke something towards the reporters and they finally stopped taking pictures and asking questions. At the side, the police had apprehended a few people who had thrown those rotten vegetables at her earlier.

It was not hard to know that Wei Jun Hao had threatened to bring them to court if they continue to harass her.

Looking at everyone who continued to be on her side and protected her, Li Qin Yao felt something warm enveloping her heart and spreading throughout her body.

Li Mu Chen could not stop smiling upon reading the news and what the netizen was saying about her cousin. Looking at the way the others were cursing at Li Qin Yao brought joy to her. Li Mu Chen had not been this happy for a long time!

A laugh escaped her as she scrolled her phone and saw her cousin's pathetic expression as someone threw a tomato at her. Unfortunately, the tomato only hit her on her arms. If it had hit Li Qin Yao on her face, Li Mu Chen would be happier.

Taking a deep breath to calm down, Li Mu Chen threw her phone into her handbag before she applied her lipstick. Satisfied with how she looked, Li Mu Chen went out of her room and planned to visit Shan Zi and celebrate.

She walked downstairs and froze when she saw her brother sitting on the sofa.

”What are you doing here?” Li Mu Chen asked. ”I thought you went to Y City with Grandfather.”

”I changed my mind and stayed. Someone needs to look after the company,” Li Mu Bai said. He gave his sister a look over and raised a brow. ”Where are you going? It's late.”

”I'm going to meet a few friends.”

Li Mu Bai stood up. ”Then let's go together. We haven't hung out together for a long time.”

Her expression changed. ”Why do you want to hang out with me? Don't joke around. My circle of friends and yours are different.” Li Mu Chen then hurriedly walked over to the door and escape as soon as she finished her words.

A few days ago, Li Mu Bai had planned to go to Y City with his grandfather once they both heard the news of the accident.

However, just before they left, Li Mu Bai had looked up and had saw his sister on the second floor. Noticing the strange smile on his sister's face., Li Mu Bai could not shake off the feeling that Li Mu Chen was involved in the accident in Y City. Thus, he had made his decision to stay and monitor her movement.

Li Mu Bai took a deep breath and took out her phone. He called a number and spoke, ”Li Mu Chen went out. Don't lose her. I want to know who she meets up with.”
