Qi Ming Wei then turned to Zhang Yu Han. ”I will give you a proper explanation of this incident.”
Zhang Yu Han replied to him with a nod. Right now, he was mostly concerned about his wife's condition. He could sense that she was still frightened of that incident and wanted to stay by her side to comfort her.
At this time, another knock resounded from the door. Seconds later, an elderly male doctor walked in with a clipboard in his hand. He looked up at everyone and raised a brow. ”One of you needs to get out. The patient is still in shock. She needed to rest.”
Qi Ming Wei nodded at Zhang Yu Han and left the room.
The doctor then walked over to Li Qin Yao to check on her pulse. ”How are you feeling?”
”Good,” Li Qin Yao answered briefly.
”How is she, doctor?” Zhang Yu Han asked as he watched the doctor jotted something on his file.
”Well,” the doctor paused as he studied the file. ” You requested a full body checkup, and the result came out. The report said that everything seems alright. Your head's fine. No broken bones found and oh,” he paused and smiled. ”Your baby's fine. It seems that there's nothing wrong with your baby. But, I'm afraid that we have to hold you in the hospital for one night for observation. We wanted to make sure that there won't be any complication after that accident.”
Li Qin Yao blinked. ”What? Excuse me, doctor. What did you just say?”
The doctor looked up. ”You have to stay in the hospital for a night for observation. We are worried that there might be any complication afterward,” he repeated.
”No, not that one” Zhang Yu Han frowned. ”You mentioned something about a baby?”
”Oh, right,” the doctor nodded. ”Your baby is fine. We were worried that there might be some complications with your baby after that accident. But,” he paused to look at her file again. ”Everything seemed normal at the moment.”
”Excuse me, doctor,” Li Qin Yao swallowed. ”But, what baby?”
”Uh,” the doctor turned to Zhang Yu Han and found that the man was staring at him in the same dazed expression. He then looked at Li Qin Yao and said, ”That baby in your belly?”
”But,” Li Qin Yao laughed nervously. ”Doctor, I think you're mistaken. I'm not pregnant. I just got my period this morning.”
”Huh, did someone made a mistake?” The doctor mumbled before he consulted his files and raised a brow. This patient was a VIP. They were really careful with the examination. ”You're Li Qin Yao, am I correct?” The doctor asked.
Li Qin Yao nodded slowly to affirm.
”Then there's no mistake about it,” the doctor said. ”The blood test showed that you're pregnant. The scans showed that the baby is alright.”
”I'm,” she paused and squinted towards the doctor. ”I'm pregnant?”
”You're pregnant,” the doctor verified. ”Are you saying that you didn't know that you're expecting?”
”No,” Li Qin Yao said, almost whispering. She shook her head slowly and stared on her stomach in disbelief.
”Well, if that's the case, then I'll refer you to OB-GYN and have my colleagues to look at you and have you a full check up on your pregnancy,” the doctor told her. ”They will be able to tell you everything you needed to know.” He jotted something on her file and smiled at Li Qin Yao before she walked away.
