Li Qin Yao glided her fingers on the screen and pressed her phone to her ears. Before she could say a word of greetings, her friend, Fan Yun Xi had already moved into a tirade and did not give Li Qin Yao a chance to say anything. She then raised her head and looked at her husband helplessly.
”What's wrong?” Zhang Yu Han mouthed as he walked over to his wife.
Seeing that Zhang Yu Han was there and she could not deal with this one friend, Li Qin Yao then passed her phone to her husband.
Zhang Yu Han looked at the caller ID and noticed that the phone call was still connected. He raised his phone to his ears and spoke in his deep voice, ”Hello?”
Fan Yun Xi stopped abruptly. She looked at the screen and frowned when she saw that the phone call was still connected with Li Qin Yao. ”Isn't this is Qin Yao's phone?”
”It is,” Zhang Yu Han stared at his wife and wonder what mischief was she up to.
”Then… Who are you?” A flash of memory came to her mind and Fan Yun Xi shouted, ”Ah! Director Zhang?”
How can she forget Zhang Yu Han's voice? After all, that man had the kind of voice that her friend really liked. His voice was almost similar to that lead singer from the TIME band.
”Yes. It is me.”
”I momentarily forgot that both of you are married,” Fan Yun Xi laughed nervously at the other line. At the thought that the man had heard how she had nagged on and on to Zhang Yu Han, Fan Yun Xi was suddenly embarrassed. ”Where's Qin Yao? I need to talk to her.”
”Hold on.” He passed the phone back to his wife and watched as she smiled sheepishly at him. Shaking his head helplessly, Zhang Yu Han then turned around to attend to a few matters.
”Li Qin Yao! Do you know how embarrassed I was when I realized that I was nagging to your Director Zhang?” Fan Yun Xi covered her face with one hand. ”Why do you let your husband pick up your phone?”
Li Qin Yao laughed. ”Actually, it was me who picked up the call, but since you won't stop nagging, I then passed my phone to my husband. Hmph! Who told you not to give me a chance to speak at all?”
”Don't you think you deserved that? So many things happened to you, but you did not say a word to me,” Fan Yun Xi said. ”Do you know how worried I was when I saw the news about you all over the internet?”
”I'm sorry.”
Hearing that simple word, Fan Yun Xi immediately paused and her heart grew soft. ”Yao Yao, how are you?”
The two of them have been friends from college and because her fiance was someone from the same business industry as her friend, Fan Yun Xi naturally knew about the things that happened to Li Qin Yao two years ago.
Now that she had found out that the truth had come to light, of course, Fan Yun Xi was relieved but worried about her friend at the same time. After all, the culprit was none other than her second aunt.
”I'm fine. It'll be fine,” Li Qin Yao said. ”I know that Senior Mo's company had invested a lot in the QL project in B City. Yun Xi, you tell him not to worry. We'll figure out something and I'll make sure that he won't be losing his investment.”
”Don't mention that,” Fan Yun Xi sighed. ”Cheng Yi won't mind. It was only some money.”
