If it was not because Li Mu Chen was his wife's cousin, Zhang Yu Han would not hesitate to throw her out. Unfortunately, he was at Li's residence. As a husband, he needed to save some for his wife.
Moreover, he was still trying to curry favor with his wife's grandparents.
He had married their granddaughter without telling the elders anything. It would be bad if the elders did not like this union. Though he did not mind much if the elders were not satisfied with him, Zhang Yu Han did not want his wife to be unhappy.
Fortunately, both Li Ren Xin and Li Qin Yao had appeared before Zhang Yu Han's patience reached its limit.
”Are you alright?” Li Qin Yao rubbed her thumb against his palm. It was the only thing she could do to coax her husband at the moment.
The crease on his face gradually disappeared when she saw the smile on her wife's face. ”Hmm,” he nodded.
Li Qin Yao gave a little squeeze at Zhang Yu Han's hand before she led him into the dining area where her grandmother was waiting.
Meanwhile, Li Mu Chen trembled in fear as she entered her grandfather's office. She shut the door behind her and turned around slowly only to be hit by a hardcover book on her arms.
”Grandfather!” Li Mu Chen touched her slightly reddened arms and felt her eyes started to sting.
”Don't grandfather me! Li Mu Chen, do you know what you have done?” Li Ren Xin took a deep breath to calm his anger, but he could not calm down as he recalled the scene that happened in front of his eyes. ”It seemed that I was too lenient when I gave you your punishment the last time. You still have not learned your lesson!”
Li Mu Chen watched as her grandfather lifted the phone receiver and pressed at the numbers angrily. She did not know who her grandfather was calling, but suddenly, Li Mu Chen had a sense of foreboding.
”Li Jing, you come here and pick up your daughter,” Li Ren Xin spoke as soon as the phone was connected. After he finished that one sentence, Li Ren Xin immediately hung up the call.
Li Mu Chen had a look of horror at hearing her father's name. ”Grandfather, how could you call my father?”
”Since you won't listen to me and I cannot discipline you, then I can only let your father discipline you himself,” Li Ren Xin said angrily. ”I told you not to mention that those accidents from two years ago, but did you ever listen to me?”
”I'm sorry. I promise I will never mention that incident again,” Li Mu Chen begged.
”I gave you a chance once, I am not going to give you another chance,” Li Ren Xin said. ”Li Mu Chen, from tomorrow onwards, you don't have to come over to the company anymore.”
”What?”
”You're fired! Since you refused to learn properly, then you don't have to come and waste anyone's time at the office,” Li Ren Xin said. ”It has been decided. You cannot do anything to change my mind.”
