Chapter 39 - A New Journey (1/2)

The next day

Dawn. The sky was barely lit.

within Shad's room.

” Shad my son, take these with you.” With a wave of Saskia's hand, a top of Shad's bed, seven large sets of luxurious clothing as well as some other miscellaneous items appeared out of nowhere.

”Mother.” Shad couldn't help but say. ” The maid has already prepared everything, clothing, and tools.”

The old man that was close to the bed snapped as he coldly said.” If your mother tells you to take them, then do it you little bastard.”

Ever since after Shad's coming of age ceremony, his great-grandfather always looked at him with a strange expression on his face and got mad easily everything he talked to him. He was acting weird which was something he never does, especially with Shad. Shad still had no idea why his old man was acting this way but he still did not plan to find out.

Still, listening to his old man words, Shad's heart shook as he was looking at his mother. Saskia's gaze remained on her son, and Shad could clearly sense the boundless, infinite love within her eyes. Ever since he was young, his mother had taken care of him in every way possible.

While some people might see him as a weird little guy due to his clothing choices and the way he behaved himself. Her mother has always seen him as the pearl in her eyes and was like everything to her. For him to go somewhere far away from the Imperial capital on his own, must have frightened her. she did not care if Shad was strong or not, She still wanted him to stay with her.

After setting out everything, Shad bid goodbye to his mother and went straight to the imperial gate where his four Imperial Knights were waiting for him including one hundred soldiers. His two brothers had already gone to overseer their respective kingdoms, which leave only him.

Today Shad was dressed in official battle clothing. On his back, a blindly scarlet cape billowing behind with Djage insigma stitched upon the cape. his face was expressionless as he was walking out of the palace.

Outside the imperial palace gate, there was two massive flag held by two soldiers. The flagpole was at least fifteen meters long, rising high up in the skies. Above, a seven meters long and four meters wide huge flag hung upon it, swaying gently in the morning wind.
