Chapter 28 - The Appearance Of The Eye (1/2)

The sun has gone to rest, and the moon has taken his place. A starry night loomed above, pretty enough to ignite the heart of anyone. The stars hung above as if strung in the air by invisible strings.

In an insignificant and desolate corner of the populace district of Kalin city, the imperial capital of the Djage Empire, an old man was sitting quietly on a stone as though he had been there for a long time, he seemed like a vivid statue.

His eyes were tightly shut as he was mumbling and whispering something. It was unknown if he was chanting a magic spell or just nonsense, However, the expression on his face was quite serious. If one were to get closer to him, one would find that the words coming out of his mouth were quite mysterious and different from anything they have ever heard before.

Also, if the Duke of the Sky Kingdom was here at the moment if he would have recognized that old man with just a single glance because he was none other than the old man that was bidding fiercely for the book at the auction house, and even cursed at him by saying his ugly face did not worth shit.

While the old man was mumbling those mysterious words, suddenly the air and space around him begin to tremble until it crackled into a small slit which appeared in front him. It was as though someone has torn the void, the crack expanded slowly, and along with its expansion, a violent pressure emerged from it.

The old man continued to whisper those mysterious words, along with it, that pressure was getting stronger and stronger, and more violent. Good thing there wasn't any regular mortal nearby, otherwise, that pressure coming out from that crack space would have been enough to make them vomit a mouthful of blood or even worst, take their lives.

Sitting on the stone, the old man whole body began trembles. There was a look of horror on his face as he was waiting for its appearance or arriving. In the meantime, an unprecedented wind begins to surge wildly in that specific area where the old man was.

After a minutes or two, the crack has expanded to its limit. Looking at the object that appeared within the crack, even the old man that had summoned it was absolutely terrified by it.

Without wasting any time, the old man quickly kneeled down on the ground in front of that object and said. ” The Eye sees everything, The Eye controls everything, Nothing can escape the Eye, And everything under the Heaven and Earth belongs to the Eye.”

” The 20th Eye pays his respect to the Progenitor.”

Yep, it was an Eye.

A giant Eye!

The single Eye was shut tightly. However, as soon as the old man finished saying those things and paid his respect, the eye slowly opened.

It was one pitch black eyes with a crimson red pupil. This single eye gave off a purely evil aura. Aside from that, it was as though it was able to see the deepest part of a person's soul and nothing can escape its sight.

Not only that, just by looking at it, one has the impulse and the feeling to lie down and prostrate oneself in worship.

Although it was a single Eye, it calmly stands erect in front of the old man.

The old man had his head lowered and did not dare to say anything and was waiting for an answer.

” Where is the book?.” Suddenly, a commanding voice, that was filled with nobility, rang out from the other side of the crack. the voice was quite cold and icy, void with any emotions.

” I wasn't able to acquire it. It was brought by the princess of the Djage Empire as a present for his little brother.” Answered the old man with a quivering voice. Ever since that single Eye appeared, the old man body hasn't stop trembling.

The old man was a 7th rank peak warrior and was able to move unhindered throughout the Egul Continent, yet he could feel a great sense of crisis when facing that single Eye. It was as though his life and death were depended on the single Eye's glance.

” Explained everything to me, without leaving a single detail.” commanded the Eye with an emotionless voice.

The old man quickly explained everything from the how the Auction started one hour late and the bidding for the book. Not only that, he also explained how to princess and the prince did not buy or bid for anything in the auction house except for the book.
