Gavin creased his forehead as he followed Raine from behind. They were inside the forest, and he could hear wild animals nearby. There were many trees in the place, and the sun would soon set.

He heaved a long deep sigh as his eyesight continued to follow Rain on her trails.

”It won't be wise to continue. Let's wait when the sun is already up…” the man behind Raine suggested.

”No! Every second counts. We might lose him if we delay!” Raine retorted as she continued her tracks.

”But it will be perilous. They are powerful at night,” the man looked anxious as he followed Raine behind.

Gavin looked where Raine and her man were heading. He creased his forehead, seeing what seemed to be an ancient castle.

'A castle on an island?' he mused, confused. They were on the island, and if he was not mistaken, it was the place where his brother was. He was aware that it was another real-time sight inside a dream.

It was another important event that had a connection to Mirage. He felt his heart stopped, realizing what could be happening. No wonder Raine told him that he could not join the rescue mission for his brother. It could be that his brother was with… Mytures? That was how Raine would call those mythical creatures, instead of directly calling those monsters or beasts, since it was too long.

”Hey, Gavin. I'm sure you're witnessing this right now. Just observe and make sure you never leave a single detail in writing this! I promised that to bring you Cedric tonight, and I will do that!” Raine confidently said with her vicious smirk.

Gavin shook his head, wondering when he would get used to that Princess. She was so different from others. She was too feral for a Princess!

Gavin held his breath as he watched the following scenes before his eyes. Again, it was like he was watching a movie live. Raine, with her men, fought their way to where his brother was. They used high technology gadgets to penetrate the castle without causing much disturbance to their enemies. They were like thieves in the night. However, once they were inside, fighting was inevitable.

She stopped when a woman blocked their way.

”And what are you doing here in my castle, uninvited, Princess Raine? As far as I can remember, I kept this castle hidden for centuries from human's naked eyes.” the woman murmured.

'No wonder they were unable to find Cedric!' Gavin mused.

”Oh right! You're someone special! You looked exactly like your mother, Ava, and you also possess her blood. That was why Marcus treasured you so much. If you want to find out more about your mother, then I guess you have to keep this woman alive,” the woman added with a mocking tone, clearly negotiating.

”Enough with your nonsense. I need one man, and I am not interested at all with what you're talking,” Raine impatiently grunted and was about to attack but halted when a man suddenly appeared, blocking Raine's way to kill the woman.

”Cedric…” Gavin gasped.

******

”Oh, God. Please, Gavin, and don't scare me! Why are you not waking up yet?!” Brione cried as she watched Gavin on his bed while sweating hard, still unconscious.

Gavin just passed out while they were walking in the hallway on their way to their private wing in the palace.

”Please calm down, Your Majesty. The King is just a bit exhausted. He is fine, and he will wake up soon.” Cain confirmed upon making sure that Gavin's vitals were all good.
