”Sweetheart?! What are you doing here?” Gavin gasped, utterly surprised to see her staring at him with a bewildered and confused expression. He silently cursed his luck because he did not expect Brione to catch him red-handed like this. He never wanted to hide anything from his wife but right now, it was not the correct time to disclose the secrets behind this hidden room to Brione.

”There's a secret room here too? How come I'm not aware of it? What's inside the room?” Brione questioned him in one breath. Gavin was quick to walk to her side to stop her from moving forward. He held her shoulders and started walking out of the library pulling her along.

”Yeah, it's just some private stuff about work and all, sweetheart. It's similar to the one in my den at Perdu Island. You remember that right? It's the same,” Gavin casually stated secretly hoping Brione would let this topic go and not ask more about it.

He did not want to tell her about it without confirming the truth, especially since he himself was still confused about the changes happening in his own body. The set-up he had and the changes he was encountering at the moment were things that were out of the ordinary.

Xander had already informed Gavin that he was a very important part of the secret underworld group Mirage and the changes he was encountering were because he is a part of it. And also it would be futile to tell Brione everything since like Xander had said before, The Mirage would make sure to erase Brione's memories to keep the information about them confidential.

”Private stuff? Darling, what are you hiding from me? Should I be suspicious? I mean, are you hiding some women inside that secret room?” Brione questioned with narrow eyes, making Gavin chuckle in amusement. He could not believe how imaginative her brain could get.

”Of course not! You know how I'm head over heels in love with you sweetheart. In fact, my eyes refuse to acknowledge any other woman who is not you my Bri! I just have some stuff related to my writing that I have kept there. You know that I'm pretty serious when I'm writing so I just wanted a separate space for that. I didn't want any distractions while I'm writing.” Gavin explained as they continued to walk back to their bedroom.

”But I'm really curious. I want to see your working space…” Brione whined as they entered their bedroom.

”There's nothing special over there sweetheart. It's actually a complete mess with my papers thrown here and there along with my laptop. Instead, how about we do some other things right here in our bedroom? Like me exploring more of my wife?” Gavin sensually whispered near her ears as his hand started tracing her neckline from behind her. His feathery touch along with his sexy and husky voice never failed to give her goosebumps.

Gavin turned Brione around to look at her and gently caressed her face with his thumb. His finger started tracing her nose slowly moving down to her neck and her collarbone before removing the straps of her negligee letting it pool at her feet.

”You're so beautiful my wife that I think I'm addicted to you...” Gavin breathed while his hands continued stroking her soft and supple skin eventually turning her on even more.

Brione who was lost in the sensations he was causing her to feel completely forgot about the secret room. Her breath hitched and she closed her eyes to enjoy what he was doing to her.

Gavin was slightly relieved that he managed to distract her and continued leaving teasing kisses all over her neck and shoulders. He finally lost his patience and scooped her up in his arms and carried her to their bed. After he gently laid her, he removed his own clothes at record speed and hovered over her before he continued raining kisses all over her.
