Chapter 177 - A Secret Room (1/2)

At Gavin's Villa.

Brione stretched her hand while still keeping her eyes closed in search of her husband but was confused when she felt the empty bed. She couldn't even feel Gavin's residual warmth so she opened her eyes while rubbing it lightly while wondering where he went. She raised her body and looked at the wall clock in their bedroom. It was only two in the morning.

She subconsciously smiled recalling how many times they made love… Her face blushed hard, recalling how aggressive she was.

Her eyes saw the sparkling rings on her hands and a beautiful smile carved on her lips. She wore two diamond rings Gavin gave her, the yellow one on her right hand and the diamond he gave at the party a while ago when he proposed, on her left hand.

”Where is he?” she whispered and got down from the bed to look at her husband. She thought he might be in the bathroom so she went to look for him there but she was puzzled when he was not there.

She stepped out of their bedroom and searched the whole house for him. She started panicking when she could not find him anywhere. Brione even pinched herself to make sure that she was not dreaming.

”Ouch!” she hissed when she felt the pain. She was on the second floor of their villa clueless about what to do next.

Just when she was about to call her brother for help, she heard a light tapping sound from the other end of the hallway. She followed the sound which led her to his personal library. She could hear him typing more clearly now that she was outside the door. She was happy and glad to know that Gavin was finally returning to the old routine he had before he lost his memory.

Gavin had mentioned that his body was compelling him to start writing again which she believed was a good sign. After all, Gavin was an established author with many awards for his books. He also had a lot of fans who would be happy to know that their favorite author has started to write again.

She remembered that Gavin was in the process of writing a book on the journey of the couple Liam Sy and Lana Huang but was unable to finish it because of his accident. She even giggled thinking about the possibility of him writing their love story as his next book. All the books he had written till now were based on the life of real-life couples. All of which ended up becoming best-sellers as soon as they were released.

She couldn't stop wondering if their story would be loved by his fans or not. Not that it mattered but she won't deny that it feels good when people love and gush about their love story.

She scolded herself for zoning out and shook her head to remove those thoughts. She slowly opened the door hoping to see Gavin doing his work but what she saw before her made her eyes pop out. What she was expecting was to see Gavin typing on his laptop but what she saw was Gavin coming out from a secret door hidden behind his bookshelf.

'Is that a hidden room? Like the one he had in his secret den?!' Brione gasped in shock.

”Darling?…” she finally breathed out after getting over her initial shock and surprise.
