214 Life Guild Meeting (1/2)

Ugh... I opened my eyes and the first thing that got my attention was the red sky... Did I somehow fall asleep? Wait... I can't move... What is happening!

”Settle down there, Sea Lion. You have to rest for now. You inhaled too much scent from Paralysis Flowers nearby. A couple of weirdos showed up but I was able to defeat them by myself. So for now, relax and enjoy the sunset while my water spell cleanses your body.” Osia...

This is the first time I've heard about that kind of flower. I'm not really familiar with this place. If not because of her, I'd be dead or captured by now.

So like what she said, I rested for a while waiting for the sun to come down. After a while, I can now move freely. It's getting dark though and we're still far from where we need to go.

”Thanks, Osia. I guess having someone to look for my back isn't that really bad. How did you know that there's a trap there?”

”Everyone knows that this path is filled with different kinds of plants that cause different status ailments like paralysis, poison, sleep and other more. If it's only asleep abnormal status, I could just slap you and wake you up. That's why we avoid going through this path. Is this the first time passing here?” She seems knowledgable too.

”Yeah, I used the Storm Seeker's path earlier and somehow, it's not that welcoming too. There's a lot of patrols and monsters.” While I readied my things to start to get moving.

”You must have good sneaking abilities to bypass their security, not good with smelling stuff, though. Haha.” No, there's no scent at all. If there is, then I could have sensed it for sure. We stood up and started moving.

”I swear I have the best senses you'll ever imagine but the scent you were talking about didn't have a smell at all. That's how it got me in the first place.”

”Sure, sure... My monster soul helped me so I didn't even know there's a trap at all. Her passive is it blocks every possible status effects to me. My monster soul is telling me that you don't have one... Is that true?” She asked curiously. That's one overpowered passive too.

”Oh... Yes, I don't have one. It's not that I don't like using one but somehow, I prefer not to have one.”

”Everyone has their own reasons. So anyway, who is this friend you are talking about?” She asks too much...

”We're heading to the Life Guild.”

”That guild is a badass! I heard they freed the slaves from the Raven's Guild. Not only that, their guild leader bested my sister! I want to meet this guy who my sister can't stop talking about.” She... seems to be really excited. I didn't expect that kind of reaction.

”Well, don't get too excited. I heard he doesn't often stay in their guild. We're just going to visit them and ask if they are still up for the alliance because somehow, their guild is not pretty doing well with their members lately.”

”Aye, aye Captain! I might as well get an autograph from Scy. Sis would really flip out if she knew that I got one. Haha.” She really likes to talk that much.

We talked a bit more while running as fast as we can. It's good to see that she can really run fast as well. I also tried my best to cover my face to avoid inhaling something that would also affect me.

After a while, we managed to get past the Raven's Path. The bright moons' light burns my eyes. We're still far but it's a good thing that we're safe. We are now in the grassland, Order of Light's territory. Heading west would lead us to the north part of grassland and the entrance of the Forest that would lead us to Life Guild.

Monsters nearby are not strong enough to show aggression. As we move, they just stay away from us. This girl with me is also high level, I can tell. I heard someone from Drowned Trident is as strong as the Guild Leader but I can't be so sure if this girl is that one.

We reached the entrance of the forest without any problems. Ambushes are common on the Raven's Path but Osia defeating a bunch would tell them that we're not for them to mess with.

-Near Life Guild-

”Hey, look! There's a light coming from there! It must be the Life Guild! Woah, this trip is paying off for the tiredness I feel right now.” Yup, it sure does.

”Their village is not as beautiful as yours but it's a good place to enjoy casual celebrations and stuff. It's like they are all family there. Try talking to Elou, he likes to talk to girls.” Elou's a good guy but creepy sometimes. It would be better if he'd talk to Osia instead of me.

”Wow! Elou, the archer guy?! His shots are like impossible to do and yet he can kill someone from really far away! He's like the ultimate sniper!” And yeah... I can't tell if she's on some herbs...

”Akko and Lili are like both goddesses too with their awesome powerful spells! I really want to meet them as soon as possible!” Just... stop it already.

And yeah... she didn't stop her blabbering for a while. That made me realize that time moves so slow... but for some reason, we are getting near so fast.

I'm getting really tired of traveling. I feel like I'm going to faint anytime soon. I wish we could have a good welcome like last time.

”Wait, something's coming.” I alerted Osia as I've felt movements up ahead.

*SWOOOOOOSH!* Two individuals showed up. Their weapons are sheathed and that means this is not kind of ambush. It looks like they are assassins because of their equipment.

They stayed there for a couple of minutes and no one has said anything yet.

”Uhmmm... Who are you guys again?” Is it just me or are they really that serious?

”Elou found you guys earlier so he told us to escort you to our guild. I'm Beat and this is Kaita. Let's go?” Beat, he says... Thankfully, we have company.

”What are you guys? Serious squad or something?” Osia asked... good way to greet someone.
