213 Ravens Path (1/2)

And yeah... we are now heading back to Dragoons City. My plan is after I get the approval of Drake, I would leave the spellcasters at the city of Dragoons and visit Life Guild and check what really is happening there.

So far, the Order of Light has Serpentes, Hearth Fire, Storm Seekers and Some Vanguards on their side. While we have a hundred spell casters and Scy's guild. If I can manage to get the approval of Drake then that means Storm Seekers won't be that much of a problem on our side. Scy can take care of the Hearth Fire and Our guild will take Serpentes and Order of Light. If we can manage of course.

”Yow, Sea Lion! Why the long face? Are you a seahorse or something?” Osia... Why is she kept on comparing me to sea-animals?

”Well, I'm just a bit worried you know. We really haven't participated in wars and the thought of losing our guild kind of makes me sad. The odds really are not in our favor but I trust everyone's abilities.”

”Worrying won't help so bring your infectious smile back and let's kick some sharks that want to eat you.” Good thing I have her. I can't say yet but based on how she talks, she has a pure heart.

”Thanks, Osia. Let's go!” So yeah, we are moving out.

-Jungle, Near Drowned Tridents Guild-

And yeah, every monster we met along the way starts running as soon as they see us. I don't like how we attract too many attentions, though. I bet opposing guilds are going to try to ambush us but God, I hope not. To be honest, traveling with someone makes me feel at ease.

So far, we managed to get out of the jungle in one piece and we're close to the Dragoons City. And yeah, the only one who's talking is Osia making jokes and stuff but most of her guildmates don't listen to her at all. I know that they are not in a good mood after being sent to die with us. If I would choose, I'd rather stay at home and curl up with a good long sleep because I can't read obviously.

”Is it still far? I'm so tired and I just want to rest like a starfish.” Osia asked with a hint of exhaustion.

”I thought you're a traveler? Where do you travel exactly?” I asked.

”I didn't say I travel by foot you know. I travel the wide sea and you can't believe what I've seen. No one has ever seen it but me.” I guess she has a sea monster friend that takes her to anywhere she wants.

”Then you must be daydreaming or something. We're almost there. Just don't get left behind.” I hope we don't get in trouble in our way.

-Dragoons City-

A couple of hours have passed and finally. We reached Dragoons City. We were welcomed warmly as most of the guards are men. They looked at the spellcasters in awe. Yeah, they really are beautiful. Drake showed up and is now walking towards us.

”It shows that you really got the approval of Shella. She's generous enough to lend you a handful of spellcasters, real beauties too. You should go to our Inns and rest. Also, Chara, I guess we need to finish what we have talked about last time.” Drake invited me to his Guild Hall.

And yeah, so I followed him back to their Guild Hall. The spellcasters were also escorted to their resting place.

”So how did you pull that off?” He's impressed. I can see that.

”Nothing, really. I just told her that we need help. Also, I told her that you guys would help them with their dispute against Storm Seekers. You guys can easily take down Storm Seekers by working together.” I explained.

”Siegriel would really be pissed about this. He chose to help Order of Light because he wants to pay them back after the Order of Light helped them retake their city. Though this time, he decided to just join the war with his officers and not risk his city again.” So, Siegriel wasn't really going with his full force. Thankfully, that would be fewer archers to worry about, not to mention his archers are way too good.

”I know you guys are friends but you also know that this pointless war should be stopped before it starts. If we can show them that we can also fight back and our chances of winning would rise a bit, then we might be able to talk it out, right?” If there's a will, there's a way.

”I hope you guys can do something about it. Why can't you guys just let them search your guild? I know Jay won't do something stupid like stealing the Soulstone and I guess no one can really steal it unless it's Aurora or Maximus himself. If I remember it correctly, Aurora said that she should hold on to it because it's too dangerous for anyone to use it. Have you guys talked to her?” He has a point but how on earth could we talk to her knowing she hates Jay to the bones...

”We have our reasons. And no, not yet. We heard that she's staying at the Order of Light for now. We also heard that she's with Maximus and the other Order of Light officers that time when they heard that the Soulstone was stolen which means that Maximus and Aurora won't be a suspect at all. And like you said earlier, there's no way anyone can steal it if it's not Aurora or Maximus which leads me to think that there's something weird about this scenario.” I still have no idea who would do such a thing.
