195 The Party is About to Star (1/2)

-Order of Light South Path -

(Before the Rupture Hits the City)

*Chara's POV*

The city in distress is what they call the city of Order of Lights. It's the largest city in the world of New Life Online. I haven't been there yet but I heard that it's also the strongest guild. With the help of Aurora, the strongest player, no other guilds can bring it down but seeing how the city being destroyed right now, I can't say that they can save the city any longer from the hands of the Frozen King.

Our spies reported that other guilds also are there to help but the others refused to do so because of total loss from the last battle. I've heard that the famous Reaper who just created a guild also is now helping the city but what can a newly built guild do against that kind of enemy. Petula thinks of him as one of the best strategists but I can't say for sure.

”We should stop from here. If we go any further, we might as well be affected by the blast even with this distance. I would survive but you guys might die. I really don't care if you die but I'm a leader you know.” Jay, our captain, loves to admire himself.

We've met some players from the city on our way. They were running for their lives as they can tell that the city will perish after a couple of seconds by now.

We waited for the huge dark spell to hit the city. It slowly destroys every building it touches. They crumble helplessly as the spell destroys them so easily. Nothing can stop something like that. Even the girl who uses light magic to protect the city is really reaching her limit. She can't stop it. No one can stop it. That's what I thought.

The Rupture finally hit the city and massive explosion happened but... in just a blink of an eye... the spell disappeared and everything is back to normal as if nothing happened. I don't know what happened but I guess it's the Time Master's doing, Aurora.

”Just what I've expected. Aurora really is something. Let's go!” We went ahead as fast as we can to help.

We heard loud explosions. As we get closer, the explosions became louder and louder. A slight tremor can also be felt. It's like there's a giant making a scene inside the city. I can't say for sure but whoever or whatever it is, it's something I don't want to mess with.

-Order of Light South Gate-

We reached the South Gate of the city. It's not guarded as most of the defenders are at the West Gate and a lot of them fled away from the city.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!* Massive explosion happened. A tremendous amount of power was released with that explosion that we've felt a huge ground movement. We rushed towards near the area where the explosion happened and we saw that a lot of buildings collapsed from that wrecking havoc.

We heard two people having a dispute. They are discussing somewhat important. It's Aurora and Zeth. They are all worn out. Aurora even lost one of her arms. Oh, shoot! They both jumped towards each other!

*CLANG CLANG* Then suddenly, our captain showed up in the middle of the fight and stopped both of their attacks! Just when did he get there?

After that, both Zeth and Aurora calmed down for a bit but it doesn't look like Aurora's happy seeing our Captain. Aurora logged out of the game after that and then he signaled us to go there too.

”Who do we have here? The Leader of the Protection Squad of the Order of Light who left the guild for some unknown reason. So why did you come back?” Zeth said. Jay was from the Order of Light? This is the first time I heard of this.

”It's been a long time you know. I also heard that the Protection Squad was disbanded a couple of weeks ago. We were supposed to help you guys but I don't think that you need our help anymore.” Jay sure knows them.

”We are the Strongest Guild after all. We don't need you here. Please leave the city before the old man sees you.” I don't really know what happened between them but I guess they still have hard feelings towards Jay. Jay is somehow quirky but he's a good man. I've never thought that someone would really hate him.

”Fine. We will leave now.” Jay replied. He signaled us to move out now... and I thought I would meet Petula and her friends.

As we started moving out, I sensed familiar aura not really far from here. It's also getting near.

”CHARA! CHARA!” Oh! It's Petula!

I told Jay to wait for a bit as I meet with my sister.

”Hey, Petula. We live in the same house you know. You don't have to shout like you haven't seen me for a while.”After I hugged her. Yes, we're so close that we are even close to those siblings by blood.
