Chapter 16

***

The Battle with the Giant Ants had resulted in tens of Denias as extra income.

If they spend money, they can save time too.

That’s why the wedding ceremony will be ahead of schedule.

Right now in Halstead Castle everyone is busy for the ceremony.

At some point, the ceremony looked like it was an exorcism ritual rather than a wedding. Though if you think about it, it was a ritual where two families kept their promise 10 years ago in front of the gods and demons.

It may seem similar to a normal wedding but it isn’t.

“If you keep making the same mistakes you won’t be able to get married.”

“I get nervous every time I do it, one more time.”

She tried putting the dress on her.

This wasn’t a normal wedding dress.

‘It must be more expensive compared to other wedding dresses.’

All the wedding organizers unanimously thought so.

Leticia’s dress was more than just the dresses of aristocratic ladies that went to family events or special occasions, it was a cute and elegant dress.

Of course, Leticia had never worn this kind of dress.

Because of that, she was so amazed when they received her warmly as they were adjusting the measurements of her body.

“After the ceremony, I’ll fix this dress nicely for you to wear it during the picnic.”

The maids said and examined the dress carefully.

They thought about stuff like ‘is it the right size or is there enough mobility?’

When she wore the dress while being surrounded, she realized that this really is a big event.

I felt as if I became the heroine within a play.

‘This is awesome, this time—!’

Leticia vowed to wear this dress for herself.

‘Don’t panic, don’t be so nervous. It’ll all be okay.’

After that, the fitting of the dress was done. The maids, in turn, took out the gloves for her hands.

“What a cute wedding glove!”

“Isn’t that too cute?”

After chattering, one of the servants suddenly said,

“Oh, come to think of it, what happens at the wedding ceremony?”

The words stirred everyone up.

“Oh, yeah! Are you doing that thing?”

“They must, right?”

What do they mean about ‘that’? What exactly are we doing?

They explained it to Leticia, who was totally oblivious about what they were talking about.

Turns out, there’s an important thing they should do at the wedding.

It is tying the wrists of two people with a string. This means that they have become a part of each other’s destiny.

“The Lord will finally take off his gloves and show his hands?”

“It’s bound to happen.”

The chatter didn’t stop.

Surprisingly, everyone said they had never seen Erden’s bare hands.

He said that his hands are too ugly. Just as he said, he never reveals himself in front of others.

“Hmm, is that so? I see.”

Leticia calmly retorted and passed.

But in her head, her imagination was running wild.

For example: How scary will the hand look like? What is its’ complexion? Does anything pop up out of its hands? Is it even real?

All those kinds of questions floated in her mind.

Leticia trembled.

‘But I’m glad I found out about it anyway as I can prepare myself for it.’

It wasn’t only Leticia and maids who came up about the holy ceremony.

In the evening, someone had tapped the door carefully. It was Erden, he said something afar.

“Wife, there’s actually a ceremony called a wedding ceremony.”

“Ah, I know that.”

Leticia said readily.

What’s his purpose for visiting me? Is he warning me?

“Erden, I’m fine! Really!”

“Is that so? Well, my wife is the one who killed the Giant Ants Army after all.”

Erden believed Leticia’s words straight out, he looked at her with a more relaxed aura.

He said it boastfully.

‘Now that you say that, I have to do my best every single time.’

Leticia had been reading the Monster book since that day.

Finally, it’s the wedding day.
