118 The War Ends with a Twis (1/2)
Previously Arrora wore a white dress but now the white dress had been dyed red by the blood of the people she just killed. Not only the dress, but she also bathed in blood and looked like a devil as blood dripped from her face and her sword.
Kate felt a cold chill running through her spine seeing Arrora in the middle of the battlefield with her current appearance. Unlike Kate, Darlene wanted to spare with Arrora and learn more about her as well as her sword techniques which looked nothing fancy but precise and deadly.
As time passed, the odds were turned into Korrinth's favor as they had already lost their best unit and the infantry of Everlight were just as deadly as the archers.
”Brother Irvin, please do something”
”Oh shit”
As Jowan cried for Irvin's help, Arrora turned her gaze towards the three of them. King Garreth's heart jumped a beat when he saw the girl bathed in blood looking at him as he quickly looked at Irvin for his help.
”Come on, do something”
Jowan started to shiver as Arrora slowly stepped forward towards them. And even though the three of them were protected by the royal guards, they were just mid-level masters and she just killed a unit full of peak level masters like cutting vegetables.
However for Irvin, the scene of him and his friends getting beaten to death by a girl just like the girl here flashed before his eyes. And Jowan's nagging brought back Irvin from his nightmare as he gritted his teeth and shouted
”What's wrong with you people? You rank fours should be weak”
When he saw his friend Dan got killed before his eyes, Irvin wanted revenge, and after getting chewed by his teacher he even had the courage to get revenge for Dan by himself. That was the reason he chose to roam around the kingdoms to get battle experience and hone his skills.
However seeing Arrora massacring the elite unit of Agoria, the trauma he wanted to forget came back rushing in his mind and weakened his courage.
Initially, he thought rank 4 kingdoms would be a good hunting ground for him with a lot of low-level bandits, foes and the two people he met in Royal Dine was an exception. But he realized now that it was not the case as even the cultivators in rank 4 kingdom had grown stronger than him.
”But you are stronger brother Irvin, you're from Redland Academy. You can do anything”
”Shut the fuck up Jowan.I've already learned my lesson playing Redland Academy card”
”Oh no oh no, she's coming”
”Guards kill her!”
While Jowan was pleading Irvin, King Garreth ordered his men but at this point, they had lost all their courage
”You don't come near us, my brother here is a Redland Academy disciple”
Seeing Arrora approaching them, Jowan shouted at her as she stopped taking steps towards them and looked at Irvin
”I'm sure your friend wouldn't intervene between the dispute of two rank 4 kingdoms” while saying this, Arrora didn't take her gaze away from Irvin but directly looked at his eyes
If this happened before the Royal Dine incident, Irvin would have jumped into a fight with her but since he already learned his lesson, he didn't want the history to repeat itself.
”Oh yes, yes. I don't want to intervene I just came here to watch the battle and take some notes”
Irvin could already feel the sweat drops on his forehead as he said
”What the fuck are you afraid of? go fight with her. Even if you die you will be avenged by your sect”
”After I die, I don't give a shit about someone avenging me”
Jowan had enough of the Irvin as his mind was already filled with fear just like King Garreth
”Shut up Jowan. Irvin son, if you kill her I will let you take our key for the ancient dungeon”
”Fuck that old man, I need to be alive to use that key. Leave me out of this”
Since Everlight's soldiers had killed most of the Agorian force and the mercenaries were either dead or escaped, King Harold sighed in relief and enjoyed the show from a distance with a wide grin on his face.
Nodding at Irvin, Arrora looked back at Jowan and King Garreth while King Gareth decided to use his last trump card
”Emir has...”
But before he could finish what he wanted to say Arrora interrupted him
”My lord, I thought you have somewhere to be?”
Even though Arrora asked Irvin politely with a gentle smile on her face, Irvin felt like he was smiled at by a devil as he quickly nodded his head and said
”Yes yes, it has been a very educational trip, miss. See you around Jowan”
As he said, Irvin kicked his horse so hard that it neighed and started to run like crazy.
”Emir has an Azri...”
Seeing Irvin running away, King Garreth tried to reveal about the Azrite deposit but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't make a sound
