29 Garden (2/2)
They struggle to raise to their feet fighting against the pain from the earlier attack. Toma dropped back down to a knee a few times. Celipa was using the wall as support for her to get off the floor. Panbukin barley was able to collect his breath, his legs had turned completely to jelly.
”Is that all you got?” Celipa managed to stand first followed by Toma. Unlike, Gine this female Saiyan was hyper aggressive when it came to fighting.
When Panbukin got to his feet, Raditz made his move again. Once more the Saiyans were attack with just one punch each sending them all the way into the opposite wall. The emperor heard snapping bones from the second attack. He realized the strength put out might have been too much. As long as they didn't die it would be fine. There was a Panacea dispenser in the gym for emergencies.
When Celipa hit he wall she fell to the floor with a thud. As soon as she hit the ground she was immediately back up in her fighting pose. Toma used the wall this time to get up, his left arms was dangling at his side. The plump Panbukin was still on the floor with a broken leg.
”Phew!” Raditz whistled, ”Celipa got up faster than before!”
He approached the warriors to give them a Panacea bean to heal their injuries. Toma looked over at Celipa and waved his good hand up and down in front of her face.
”She's unconscious!” Toma said snapping at Celipa.
”She has a very determined drive to win.” Raditz commented. ”Here eat this.” He gave Toma three of the lifesaving beans. ”You can have the other eat them when they wake up.”
Raditz left the training room to head to the bridge of the ship. As much fun as it was to beat on under prepared weaklings he had things to do. If it wasn't for Bardock's request Raditz wouldn't have taken the time to train the group. Out of the three Raditz chose to train Celipa was the most surprising. Her strength was lower than Toma's but her killer instinct was vastly higher.
”Chefs? But I don't understand, Lord Raditz.” the Governor of Earth was confused. Raditz had a holo appointment with the former King.
”What's not to understand the Prometheus Empire needs skilled chefs.” Raditz Raditz continued,
”What if I told you Earth had the best chefs in the galaxy?”
”I would find that hard to believe, my Lord.” Governor Furry responded.
”Well, its true. Which is why we need to spread their knowledge.” Raditz explained, ”Big Gete is a miracle worker, but it is flawed in its ability to create delicious recipes. It came devised very nutritious meals, but the taste is horrible. The AI has an idea of taste, but no concept of it.”
”I see.” the Governor understood. ”I will promote the culinary schools at every opportunity, my Lord.”
”Very good, Governor.” Raditz said, ”We will need some chefs to transfer to Gren'dir to teach some courses for at least one year.”
After going over a few more items of business with the System Governor of Earth, Raditz ended the holocall. Things were going as planned for the Promethean Emperor's quest to avoid universal erasure at the hands of higher gods.
On Earth, Kakarot introduced his family to his parents. Chi-Chi was thrilled to meet her in-laws. She talked with Gine for hours about many different things. The conversation always managed to work its way back around to food. The two women shared several different recipes with each other. They were as serious about their recipes as Kakarot and Bardock were about fighting. In fact the pair was almost sparring from the way they would one up the other by bringing out a new recipe.
”Hehe,” Gine laughed which sounded much like Kakarot's trade mark chuckle, ”I didn't think I would be forced to bring out my specialty barbecue dino-ribs!”
”You think I would be beaten by something like that.” Chi-chi adopted a smug look. ”Dino-ribs happen to be a special technique of mine.”
The conversation between Bardock and Kakarot was abruptly put on hold after they heard their wives talking about different dishes. The Saiyans' mouths were watering think about the dino-ribs covered in sauce. Kakarot had developed a taste for Gine's barbecue while he was on Planet Garden.
Later, Gine and Bardock had a chance to meet Reiss and Gohan. The two boys were happy to meet their paternal grandparents. Gine was pleasantly surprised by the children and instantly took to them. Although in her case it wouldn't matter if they were as evil as Frieza she would've still ignored it. Bardock was impressed by the level of power the boys possessed. He knew there was no way he would be able to hold a candle to the kids. He wanted to know how strong they would be when they grew up, if they already were this ridiculously strong. It seemed to him humans and Saiyans created very powerful offspring. He had to admire his own brilliance for sending Kakarot to Earth on a whim.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
The group was brought out of its celebration by the sound of rapid knocking on the front door. Kakarot and Chi-chi looked at each other in confusion, neither of them were expecting guest. The Ki signature of the person at the door was unfamiliar to Kakarot.
Bardock went to open the door because he was seated closest to it. When he opened the door he was face to face with a bob haired Saiyan girl in Promethean armor. The girl was young, she appeared to be around sixteen to eighteen. Bardock needed to take a second look because he had never seen a golden haired Saiyan, that wasn't a Super Saiyan before.
”Kakarot?” the girl asked, ”Are you Mr. Kakarot?”
”No, I'm Kakarot's father Bardock.” he answered moving away from the door, ”Kakarot is over there.”
The girl looked in the direction indicated by Bardock. Her face lit up when she saw the people seated at the table. She quickly ran over to the group. Everyone knew by the armor the girl was part of the Prometheus Empire so they guessed Raditz sent her.
”Mr. Kakarot! My name is Eschalot and I have a warning from the future!” she said hastily.
