4 The 21st World Martial Arts Tournament second par (1/2)

”I hope you're ready for this little brother.” I taunted.

”Heh, Heh, Honestly I was hoping to face you in the finals, but this is fine too.” he grinned.

”By the way Kakarot you should keep your tail wrapped around your waste like me.” I advised.

”Good idea.” the kid did as instructed, ”Feels a little odd, but it can't be grabbed.”

”You can strengthen it with training to prevent getting paralyzed when it's grabbed, but it still would be a good idea to wrap it anyways.”

”Fighters ready!”

Kakarot adjusted his stance slightly.

”Begin!”

My brother tried to use his speed to his advantage by vanishing. Too bad for him I could feel his Ki roaring signaling his position. He was moving around the arena quickly in an attempt to confuse me.

I remained still.

When I felt him move in quickly for a punch to my spine I sharply turned and blocked it. Kakarot never expected me to be able to block his attack and was caught off guard. I drove a force uppercut to his gut. It could've been just me, but I think I saw is eyes go white from that hit. I didn't get a good look because I followed up with a kick sending him away.

He landed on his back but managed to roll back and onto his feet. Kakarot had good reflexes to pull that off. I wanted to see if I could have a repeat of what happened to Krillin, but first I need to observe Kakarot's technique further. The announcer looked like he was having the time of his life.

”What an amazing exchange of blows, folks!”

Kakarot decided not to approach and instead adopted a long-ranged strategy.

”KAME!...”

”Excellent Kakarot show me more!” I shout.

”HAME!”

”HA!” a blue beam of energy raced towards me.

The sound of the explosion could be heard throughout the stadium. Gasps could be heard from the crowd.

”Ladies and Gentlemen our eyes had a treat we just saw the famous Kamehameha wave! But what happened to Raditz?? He is nowhere to be found!” the announcer crowed.

”Thanks for showing me that technique little brother! In return I'll show you a technique our father taught me!” I shouted.

”Amazing! Folks, feast your eyes contestant Raditz is flying! And the contests are brothers!” I had begun to charge energy in my right hand.

”RIOT JAVELIN!” I fire the beam down towards Kakarot.

”KAMEHAMEHA!” he responds quickly with a beam of his own.

”DODGE KAKAROT YOU DIDN'T CHARGE ENOUGH!” Jackie Chun warned from the sidelines.

The warning came too late and we engaged in a beam struggle. I'll give credit where it is due. The Kamehameha was still pretty potent even though it was used in a rush.

Kakarot was fighting against my attack with all his strength. I could see his legs were starting to shake. This is going to be good experience for him since he is going all out.

”Come on Kakarot you are a Saiyan you can't go down this easy!” I added more power to the beam.

Kakarot dropped to one knee in his struggle, but ultimately I won the struggle.

Smoke and debris flew into the air. I was back on the floor of the arena. I had landed after the explosion. Kakarot had been blown back by the explosion. He had managed to hold on to the lip of the arena to prevent a ring out. He was able to crawl back in, but took a moment before getting back on his feet.

”You're stronger than I thought, Raditz.” Kakarot praised through labored breaths, ”But I'm not down yet.”

Kakarot's next flurry of attacks gave me enough information to start my counter attack. I was able to dodge and exploit his weaknesses like with Krillin. Unlike with Krillin even when I managed to make him fall he got back up, sometimes it took a while. More than likely it was due to his Saiyan biology. As a bonus for Kakarot his style was became more refined to compensate, looks like I was doing him a favor.

So I had to resort to brawling with him. The power gap was enough that even though I took some hits I won in the end and Kakarot got to have a nap with a smile on his face.

I wasn't very interested in the fight between Nam and Jackie Chun. Nam was able to put up an impressive fight, but his disguised opponent was too strong. In the end the Turtle Hermit just defeated Nam with basic moves.
