But just after she took her first step, he pulled her back.

Mu Zhichen thought about the meetings he had scheduled for the next day. Whatever. He would postpone some of them.

”Since you will be back to filming the day after tomorrow, can we spend some time together tomorrow? You can come over to pet your little kitty.” He threw in the new pet to help him out with the persuasion.

As expected, Lu Meili was finding it hard to reject him. ”Eer... will your parents be there? I don't think I'm ready to meet them yet.”

”No. The cat was sent to my own house.” Recalling any woman's concern, he added. ”There are many servants in the house.” His point was that they wouldn't be totally alone.

Ruoxi was sitting leisurely in the living room, ordering maids around and putting on airs.

She was pregnant. Of course that made her a queen. Everyone had to bow down to her.

And that included Katy and Henry Blanc who were just back from the company.

”Katy, can you come over?”

Katy folded her arms across her chest. ”What do you want?”

”I'm very thirsty. Get me a glass of water.”

Katy had never heard anything so ridiculous. ”Are you sure you want a glass of water from me? Aren't you scared I'll poison you or kill that illegitimate b*stard you are carrying?”

”You...” Ruoxi saw Lin Lihua come downstairs. She stood up, weeping. ”Mother, I only told Katy to bring me a glass of water, but she insulted me and called my baby illegitimate.”

Lin Lihua ignored her and went straight to Henry Blanc. ”Let's have a word.”

Ruoxi smirked. Although Katy didn't get a scolding this time, this was even better. They were probably finalizing their divorce.
