The Lu brothers took the next flight back to Country C.

When they arrived, one of Lu Aotian's bodyguards picked them up. However, Lu Aotian had him take a cab back home then took the driver's seat himself.

”Where are we going?” Lu Shaoting asked when he saw that they were not going to Southside.

”Wanwan is still in the Lin residence.”

Due to the chaos related to Lu Enterprises and the fact that everyone was looking for Wan Jia, he had asked her to remain in the Lin residence and wait for him.

Just a few minutes after the initial news broke out, more news was uploaded. It explained the incident of how Wan Jia bullied an elder and pushed him to a dead end.

In fact, even the media outlets owned by Lu Enterprises were starting to report news against their main company.

Lu Shaoting was stunned at how fast people's hearts changed. Weren't they afraid that if this incident was a lie, Lu Aotian would make their lives hell?

While everyone was lost in thought, a girl suddenly appeared up ahead and ran to the road just a few meters ahead of the car, waving her hands as a call for help.

Her clothes were tattered beyond recognition. There was barely any decent piece left. On one foot was a slipper, the other foot was bare. Because she had run for a long distance, her feet were swollen and bruised. They were even bleeding.

The car screeched to a halt.

”Get in.” Lu Aotian said, unlocking the back door at the same time.

The girl literally jumped in and Lu Aotian drove off, leaving behind a gang of angry kidnappers. ”Thank you, President Lu.”

”Your grandfather is a partner of Lu Enterprises. You don't have to thank me.”

Lu Shaoting who was in the backseat took off his coat and put it on her shoulders.

Although she was embarassed and wanted to reject it, her clothes looked too humiliating at this point. She could only hug Lu Shaoting's coat closely and thank him.

Wan Jia finally understood what was happening. ”She is Shishi?”

The young girl nodded her head. ”Madam Lu, I'm sorry for troubling you.”

”It's no trouble.” To avoid making her feel more humiliated, Wan Jia didn't ask too much.

”Are we going to check her into a hotel? Her home is probably not safe for now.” Lu Shaoting asked.

Wan Jia didn't think it was the best idea. ”A hotel room wouldn't be too safe. What if someone waited for us to leave and attacked her again?” She looked at Lu Aotian who was driving. ”Aotian, can we take her to Southside for tonight? We can think of a permanent solution later.”
