Chapter 112 - Hes going down (1/2)

That evening at the dinner table, something unexpected happened to Wan Jia. Or to be strict, she did something unexpected.

She was peacefully eating her roast pork when she suddenly fell into a daze. Her mind was blank for a few seconds before she unceremoniously swept her bowl onto the floor.

”Wanwan?”

”Mommy...”

The two other people at the table were alarmed.

Wan Jia too was startled when she snapped back. What just happened? Why did she suddenly feel so upset? She did not remember ever losing control of her emotions like that.

Lu Aotian seemed to remember something but did not want to jump into rash conclusions.

He asked a maid to clean up the mess, moved to her side and gently tried to coax her. ”You don't like the food? Then I'll go cook for you something else?”

She did not even notice him next to her, much less hear him. She was still in a daze, wondering why she would feel what she just felt earlier.

”You don't feel hungry?”

”Should I cook for you later?”

After asking for what felt like a whole day, Lu Aotian did not get a single answer.

In the end, he signaled Little Jia's nanny to take over and feed her. Explaining to the little girl that her mommy was tired and needed to rest, he left the dining room carrying her in his arms.

After checking thoroughly and ensuring she was not hurt anywhere, he placed her in bed gently and covered her.

”Are you feeling unwell?” he asked. ”Are you on your period?”

Even though he knew she may be unusually irritable when on her period, he knew she wasn't. Lu Aotian would never forget anything related to Wan Jia. He clearly remembered that when they met on Little Jia's birthday, the doctor said she was depressed. After analyzing the possible causes, he adviced that he should keep a close eye on her and if she showed any signs of aloofness or emotional instability at any time, she should be taken in for therapy.

The doctor was under the belief that one of the main reasons of Wan Jia's depression was Lu Aotian taking away her baby. He was not wrong.

Lu Aotian had been careful with her change in emotions and was sure that in these few moths, nothing triggered any extreme reaction from her.

For her to suddenly lose control like that and not even hear voices around her, something must have triggered her. Just what in the world happened?

”I'm scared.” she mumbled for the first time.
