Chapter 87 - Bumping into people (1/2)

He immenseny regretted making her change. She should have just retained her previous gown. What was he thinking?

As if to pull her away from those wolfish eyes, he rushed up to her and held her hand. ”Let me introduce you to Elder Qian.”

He was not just holding her hand, he had actually pulled him so close that she could almost not walk comfortably.

He held his jead high proudly. Look all you want. After all you wolfish creatures can only look from afar. She's mine anyway, so I don't mind you admiring just for today.

”Aiya, this little girl is your fiancée?” Elder Qian was keeping his old friends company when Lu Aotian introduced Wan Jia.

”Yes....” Wan Jia was surprised at how his reaction looked like that of someone who was familiar with her.

”You rascal. You have quite a good eye. This young lady is already so amazing at her age.” The elder complimented jealously. How he wished Lu Aotian was really his grandson! That way, this young lady would be his granddaughter-in-law.

Wan Jia was relieved. So he knew her from the field. Having such a reputable man recognize her talent, she felt really honored.

”Little girl, how about I take you in as my disciple?” He suggested.

The people near them all gasped in shock.

”Elder Qian actually asked that little designer to be his disciple!”

”How lucky. She must have accumulated good luck from ten previous lifetimes.”

”I'm not too shocked. She's a rare talent. Just look at the dress she's wearing.” Many others agreed with this point as well. People with great talent were bound to come across great opportunities.

”I'll give you time to think about it.” He said when he saw her stunned expression. Although this was going to be his first disciple, he did not want to rush his little disciple and scare her away.

”I'll let you know then, Elder Qian.” She replied. She was not really conflicted about grabbing such a great opportunity, she was just afraid that the time may not be exactly right.

”Little girl, you don't have to be too polite with me. You can just call me Grandfather Qian.” He said.

She smiled. ”Okay then, Grandfather Qian.”

Lu Aotian was once more jealous. Why was his wife gaining more and more friends? He wanted her to belong entirely to him. However, it would not be of benefit to her if he locked her away from the world.

”The goddess just got such an amazing master. I'm so jealous. I haven't accomplished such a feat even after being in the industry for years.” A jealous girl cried.

Many others were still wondering why Lu Aotian was close to Wan Jia. What exactly was their relationship? Although they were curious, it was very safe to stay away from gossip about the Lu family.

Brimming with excitement, Wan Jia had to make a trip to the bathroom to calm her nerves or she was really going to embarass herself in public.

She bumped into someone she did not expect to see at the corridor.

”Shaoting?”

”Ah, sister-in-law, you came too?”

”Yeah...but I don't remember you mentioning that you would come. We could have come together.”

”Father couldn't make it.” He replied.
