Chapter 176 - Two-Faced Coin (2/2)

A tear fell in Yi Ling's eyes. She had more feelings towards King Jin than Muxin. Muxin's feeling was wrapped into Meiling's and Hualing's memories while King Jin was wrapped into hers alone. When he said that he finally remembered her, her heart exploded with mixed emotions.

"Do you remember what you asked me then?" She tried to confirm his memories.

King Jin kissed her forehead and asked. "Will you be this King's Consort?" He pulled back and look at her brown eyes.

Yi Ling smiled. "Yes. I will" She then kissed King Jin on the lips.

King Jin was surprised but it only lasted for a second. He held her tight as he responded to the kiss.

Unbeknownst to the two, four pairs of eyes were looking at them. Muxin and Minzhe was at the door, just in time when King Jin asked her to become his consort.

When Minzhe was about to interrupt them, Muxin stopped him and pulled him out of the room. "Let them be." His eyes became hazy as he tried to walk away.

Minzhe felt like he had brought in a calamity. He saw his father Muxin in pain, seeing his mother and King Jin kissing. Why was this so confusing, he thought.

"Are you mad at her?" He asked. Earlier, his father explained that King Jin and his mother had shared a brief moment together after she unlocked her second seal. Although the body was still Jin Muxin, Muxin had no memories of what happened. Learning that King Jin inside the room had memories of it, Muxin couldn't help but feel jealous.

"No. I can never be mad at her. Whatever this cruel fate is doing to us, I only deserved it for putting her in this situation." Muxin sighed.

"But, sooner or later you two would become one again." His parent's situation was really confusing. Two men who have different personalities and memories, loving the same woman over her three lifetimes.

"Yes. We are the same person. Yet, why do I feel hurt inside?" Muxin opened up to his son. His son had grown by his side and not on King Jin's side. Although they were one person, Minzhe still has chosen to be with him than his body. Doesn't that explain enough? They were like a coin but has two faces.

Minzhe sighed. "We can only try and solve my mother's seal as soon as we could. With father's main body here, it would only go faster. Just endure it for the meantime. Don't worry, I know mom. She loves you as much as she loves father's main body. Why else would she get hurt and ran away from you before? She only came back because she wants to be with you."

Muxin smiled half-heartedly. He knew that his son was trying to console him. "That's right. Our main focus is to help your mother. Sooner or later, our enemies will come back. By that time, I could only hope that were all ready to fight it." He tapped Minzhe's shoulder before leaving.

Seeing his father's cold back, Minzhe sighed. His father's white hair and white robe makes it more eternal. He was like a God while King Jin was like a Demonic King. That's right, even he feels like they were two different persons. No wonder his father felt hurt.
