Nassus compliments him,

”If that's how you see it...then yes...”

”I'll let you pass here and save your dark Goddess Ruhime...”

As Nassus showed the pathway with his finger, pointing westward in which there was an iron door to the west that screamed of terror in it's appearance. Zeran didn't mind the scary door, since he had a feeling Ru was in there. Though, he had sudden thoughts about giving Mai to Nassus in exchange for Ru, as he closed his eyes for a few moments,

(”This guy...is truly dangerous...”)

(”So forget Mai and move on to Ru was it?”)

(”While I don't have any love for Mai, I'm still concerned to her as an ally and companion...”)

(”Although it's a nice offer, in order to save Ru...without taking any dangerous risks...”).

The air was becoming more and more tense with a mix of sheering coldness, since the two heroes were having a dark deal of exchanging women, even worse, they were Goddesses. A little while later, Zeran sighed and he was convinced of his decision. Soon, he opened his eyes and said with a haughty smile,

Nassus held his hands behind and knacked out a confident smile once again, since Zeran took his generous offer and didn't force his way through. Though, Zeran has his own reasons in doing so. Then, Nassus says,

”Glad we had an understanding Zeran...”.

Afterwards, Nassus walked down the aisle and he was heading towards the entrance Zeran had emerged. Thereon, Zeran let Nassus through, although as Nassus was near Zeran, Zeran patted Nassus's shoulder and said with a serious look on his face,

”Take care of Mai for me...”.

Nassus stopped for a moment but, he didn't bat an eye and he just says,

”You already know how I take care one of my women...Zeran...”.

”Tch...”

,Zeran expressed. The next moment, Nassus shoved-off Zeran's patting hand, since he doesn't like being in close contact to his eternal rival. Nassus continued to tread along the aisle and he left the place through the entrance where Mai was resting for a long time for some reason. Zeran was feeling kinda sorry for Mai in his thoughts,

As for Zeran, he went to the iron door and opened it. He trudged through the abyssal hallways that wasn't illuminating any light, such as it was an endless path of void. On the flipside, it wasn't a labyrinth but, it was only a one way route and he was feeling that he was getting near to his captive dark Goddess Ru. His heart was racing faster and faster, since he's about to see his ever beloved Goddess once again after all the struggles he faced so far.

Meanwhile, in the case of Nassus, he was now at the outer castle grounds where the huge crater was still bore on the ground. He noticed that Mai was resting like a slumbering maiden on the ground and her crossbow was lying further away. As he noticed Mai, he masked a horrifying smile, such as his face was an eager villian to see her once again. Thereon he was in his thoughts,

Nassus started to walk near her. Mai heard the footsteps that was getting near her. She opened her eyes but, her eyes was still blurry in sight, making her to say presumptions with a smile of relief on her face,

”Zen?”.

Nassus knelt down to her and replies,

”No, It's not but, it's me...your Nassus...”.

Mai couldn't believe upon what she had heard but, since she heard the familiar cold voice of Nassus, she felt nervous up to her spine. Soon, her vision became clear and saw the face of the terrifying Nassus near to her face. Thereon, she was convinced that Nassus came to take her away and bring her back to his hellish paradise once again. Though, she was also disturbed in her thoughts,

(”HOW?! HAS ANGE BEEN HIDING SOMETHING FROM ME?!”)

(”HOW DID HE GET HERE?!”)

(”WHY DIDN'T I SENSE HIS PRESENCE?!”)

(”NO WONDER EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SMOOTH SAILING FOR THEM!”).

Nassus reached out his comforting hand but, it made Mai to be alarmed and got up as quickly as she could. Sadly, even though she stood up, she was shaking in fear, turning her to be frozen on the ground. Nassus had stopped kneeling and exhaled himself. Then, he took a look at Mai. Mai's eyes were widened in fear, such as her valkyrie shell was broken and revealed the true scarred princess. She tried to get away by taking little footsteps. Nassus just held his hands at the back, waiting for the right moment. Suddenly, Mai tried to run away like a scaredy cat yet, Nassus grabbed and restrained both of her hands in a split second. The only thing Mai could do was to squirm in fear for her dear life. The next moment, Nassus brought her beautiful face lying on the ground and his body was lying down on Mai's back, proving an offensive attempt to her sacred sanctuary, while he was holding her tight, such as he was ready to start the bloody Goddess harvest once again. Mai was still squirming and tears started to fall upon her cheeks begging for mercy, since she's about to feel the buried scar from before. Nassus went near her ear, he cracked out a delighted smile of a demon and says,

”Let us begin the Goddess Harvest again...shall we?”

”Goddess Mai?”.

Mai shouted with all her heart as she heard those words again,

”N-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”.

Over the distance, Zeran overheard Mai's pitiful scream. Her scream wasn't any Goddess or a majestic being but, just a terrified maiden. He had stopped in his tracks for mere moments and he looked down with a guilty look on his face, while he was in his thoughts,

(”Mai...I'm sorry...”)

(”And goodbye...”).

After sometime, he continued walking and he felt that he was getting warmer, as he noticed the rusty iron door at a short distance. He opened the huge iron door. As he entered the dungeon-looking place, he saw the pitifully chained and grievously shackled Ru. Her body was battered and wounded by lots of whip lashings. He felt kinda sorry for Ru for what she had gone through but, he wore a sign of immense relief as he noticed that she was still breathing. He left out a tear mixed in sadness and happiness, as he was getting near his Goddess, trying to feel her touch. Soon, he let out his voice filled with great amount of hopefulness,

”Ru?”.

Ru's downed face noticed him. Soon, she looked at him and said with a very weak voice, as if she had lost lots of energy due to the tortures she had gone through,

”Ze...ra?”

Zeran replies with a smile,

”Yes it's me Ze—”.

Though, Ru interrupts him,

”Time to DIE...Zera...”.

Suddenly, dark chaotic energies surged out from Ru, encroaching the whole place in malicious miasma that would scare the lights of any mere human. Not only that, the atmosphere was thick and heavy that seemed the death's door was open to crush everything into extinction. He noticed that Ru was wearing a smile but, her smile was depicting the face of a demonic menace, yearning for mindless destruction with her razor fangs bared on the prowl. It's as if Ru was another person entirely and her usual teasing self was gone, replaced by a monstrous being. Her foxy tail was visible but, it was amplifying her predator look even more. Soon, dark tentacles seethed in abyssal flames had bursted out from Ru's back as if they were demonic wings, in which they were her crystallized dark energies manifested into the form of dark tentacles. . A little while later, Zeran gulped. He felt very nervous and sorrowful for what had become of Ru.
