37 CHAPTER 37: Deal with the devil... (1/2)
Afterwards, Zeran was able to enter the throne room. His eyes had met the glorious scenery of the golden and black pillars along the black carpet encroached on the floor. The floor and walls were replaced by the runic symbols that were tinged in golden brilliance, such as it was even glowing mysteriously, adding intensity to the place. More than that, over the distance, he saw that Queen Fae was sitting on the throne, although the throne looked much different than ever before. Her golden sun throne had changed its very symbol to a golden black eclipse, such as the black sun was eating the golden moon. Nassus was at the right side of hers. He was looking-like a composed bodyguard, ready to smite anyone down who gets close to the queen. Lastly, at the end of the room was a gigantic white statue of Goddess Angehime yet, her clothing was riddened in a mixture of deep black, pure white and vibrant gold, such as she was no longer a light Goddess but, both a light Goddess and dark Goddess in form, unifying the two opposing elements. As Zeran saw the huge makeover of the place, he just sighed with a stressed look. He was in his thoughts later on,
(”Wow...so many drastic changes this b*tch had made to my former throne...”)
(”And...Nassus is still there...”)
(”But I have a CHANCE with these spheres with me...”).
Queen Fae was waiting for his arrival somehow, since she was grinning with grave interest, as she saw Zeran entered her palace. She got up from her throne and greets him in the most grandeous way possible with her arms stretched wide, to prove her dominion,
”Welcome my dear Lord Zen...”
”Or should I say...DEMON LORD!”.
As he heard her superficial compliment, he says in his thoughts,
(”Demon lord huh...cool title...”)
(”Great, I'm the villain now...Really amazing!”).
A little while later, he replies to her with great defiance,
”Thanks for the compliment b*tch Fae...”
”But soon I'll have your head offered to my dear dark Goddess Ru...”.
”Oh harsh words Demon Lord Zen...”
”But why don't we negotiate first?”.
,she responded. There was a sudden silence in the air, as she let out those words. He also noticed that her vile smile was over the top, as she was waiting for his answer in great demand, turning Zeran to hold his chin and to be very disturbed in his convuluded thoughts,
(”Again...what is up with these women with dealings and negotiations?”)
(”Oh well...I'll just listen to this b*tch on whatever she has to say...”).
Soon enough, he nodded and responded with an unsure look,
”Okay...”.
Queen Fae knacked out a demonic grin that was so utterly terrifying in respect, proving she caught him in her trap. Though, Zeran just wanted to hear what she had in mind but, he'll just disregard it afterwards. Queen Fae sat at her throne again and said in a loud voice,
”First...I'll let you see YOUR Goddess Ruhime from time to time...”
”But you'll have to be my servant...and follow all of my orders...”
”Second, you shall help me conquer all of the nations around this world and OTHER worlds!”
”So what do you say?”.
Then, she brought out her arms wide and wore a proud a smile, depicting she was even praising herself for being so generous at him. Though, Zeran just gulped and he thought that his former second wife Queen Fae had gone nuts over her crazy ambitions. Zeran tried to utter out his words but, Nassus interrupts him,
”I think that won't be necessary...lady Fae...”.
Queen Fae, looked at Nassus and asks with an unsure look on her face,
”What do you—”.
In a split second, Nassus cut-off her head with lightning speed that was even faster than the speed of light, ending her statements fast. The head of the vile queen had gone flying and dropped to the ground with a shocked face of a dead woman. The body of the recent dead Fae fell to the ground and shown the clean red innards of her sliced neck, that made Zeran to have a memory that he can't ever remove. His eyes had noticed that Nassus was wielding a bloodied longsword, proving he was the one who did the treacherous act of desecration. As it seemed, Zeran felt very tense and he was surprised even in his thoughts,
(”Did I just see Nassus behead her?”).
Even the air became frozen in fear, as Nassus did a horrible act of silencing his companion and recent lover. Soon enough, Zeran shouts at Nassus,
”Oi! Nassus! Tell me, why you did you do that?!”
”You're her ally aren't you?”.
Nassus replies,
”Hmph...Ally?”
”She's just a puppet to the Goddess Angehime and she's the SCAR of that GODDESS I WANTED TO SAVE from that demonic God...”
”Yet...this puppet went too far...”.
Nassus looked at her dead corpse that was devoid of a head. He clenched his fists in deep anger mixed with a cold stare in his look. Then, he kicked her body with powerful force, flinging her corpse to the edge and leaving out a great crack on the wall. The atmosphere was more or less clad in chaotic intensity frozen in the stagnant winds, as Nassus's true intentions were shown. Thereon, Zeran recalled Nassus's statements,
”So Fae was just a puppet to the light Goddess?”.
Nassus responds with a stone cold look,
”Most likely...”
”But you should not worry Zeran...for I won't be having a duel with you...”
”Since you've also helped me accomplish my reason for coming here...”.
It seemed Nassus complimented Zeran indirectly. Nassus sheathed his long sword. Sooner or later, Zeran sighed and looked down, while his palm was holding his forehead with a stressed look on his face. Thereupon, he says,
”It's Mai...isn't it?”.
As Nassus heard Zeran's prediction, Nassus cracked out proud smile of an esteemed hero, although he looked-like more of a villain due to the situation they were in. Soon, Nassus responds in a very composed way,
”Yes...”
”With that settled...why don't we have a deal then?”.
Zeran replies with great emphasis, trying to taunt Nassus,
”Tsk...deal with the DEVIL?!”.
