And there was the screen James had been waiting for. He glanced at it expectantly, as he clicked on the glowing screens. James had already earned his Food For Thought achievement at 15,000 dungeon essence earned. And even though the player farming party of BLANKs had been quite successful, he highly doubted they had given him enough dungeon essence to bounce into the 20k mark.
He left his window with his instance up as well, as he was rather excited to see what happened in the aftermath of the M.I.N.E. Craft explosion. Because players from James's dungeon had been in there when it was destroyed, the instance was currently still active. After all, that instance was bound to those players, even if they were currently waiting to respawn. Meaning James was going to see what weird types of mutations occurred with his new irradiated mobs. And in the nuclear wasteland that was now that particular instance. Literally, the mushroom clouds still lingered in the air, and everything was either on fire, turned disintegrated, turned into glass, or slightly smoldering.
As We Know It- Utilize a World Boss to bring about the end of the world (instance)
Reward- 1,500xp, 500 resources, 1 Dungeon Token
Gamma World- Kill a party utilizing radiation
Reward- Unlocks radiation tree for disease menu, unlocks radiation mutations for disease menu, +1 radiation skill point.
While the first achievement was definitely welcome, especially the extra dungeon token. The second achievement was the figurative icing on the cake. From what James had learned during his time with his disease menu, was that it was rather frustrating unlocking additional trees. It seemed he got 1 free disease skill point at the same speed as he did mob points. Meaning as a Tier 3 Rank 6 dungeon, he had 24 skill points to use on his diseases. However, some of the trees on his disease menu were flat out locked, while others had skills that required more than 1 skill point to unlock. Which made sense, there was no way the game would just give him everything right away. Part of the fun, after all, was unlocking new things.
What had frustrated him though, was the game treated his Terminal Fire skill as fire damage, even with it applying dino-aids. Which meant up until the detonation of the M.I.N.E. Craft, James had been unable to access the radiation tier, which had been locked. Now that it was unlocked though, James was extremely excited to see just what he could play with in it. Before he could go down the path of mad scientist creating crazy new diseases though, one last achievement popped up on his screen.
UNNatural Selection- Have a mob generate that has mutated
Reward- 1 Mob Skin* Effect- Unnatural Green Glow
*Mob Skins can be applied to any mobs you choose.
After reading the achievement James's eye immediately flew back to the instance. There, wandering about the wasteland, was the first mob to have spawned following the M.I.N.E. Craft's detonation. It didn't make much sense, given that the mobs on his second floor were literally mechanical. There was no way they should be able to evolve or mutate from radiation. However, it seemed the game's mechanics thought otherwise. How else would James explain away the breakiosaurus that had suddenly appeared, glowing green, with a Spy-Nosaurus head, fully functioning, at the end of its tail. Things on James's second floor just got weird. And with radiation unlocked on his disease menu, James could only imagine what else he could do.
