126 Chapter 126 (2/2)
As Oak finished looked at his loot, and the others did the same, the Indra's face said immediately that he was not happy with what he had gotten.
”So, anyone want to trade with me real quick?” His face was pale again, and he was looking frantically around the group.
”Depends,” Manly was the first to respond, the axe champion leaning forward easily on one of his axes as he eyed Oak up and down. ”Watcha got to trade.”
”Er,” Oak looked down at the dwarf, his mind likely racing. James was pretty sure he knew what Oak had gotten, but he couldn't confirm just yet. Though, James knew exactly what types of items could be dropped in the chest, and there was only one thing he could think of that would cause Oak to act like that.
”It's, uh, a third-floor pet.” Yup, it was exactly what James thought it was.
”Aye, I could do for a new pet.” Manly's eyes were gleaming as he waived a hand, pulling up his menu, and selecting an option. A split second later, Oak made a similar motion, opening up his trade menu. He frowned for a moment as he looked at the screen, before he simply shook his head, and hit another invisible button.
By the smile on Manly's face, the trade had gone in the dwarf's favor. Or, at least in the dwarf's opinion it had.
”Pleasure doing business with ya.” Manly grinned as he went back into his options. A moment later, his pet, which had been a little triceracog, disappeared. In its place, a Giant Plaython pet appeared. Well, giant wasn't actually the correct word, as it was only about three feet in length, much smaller than its 20-foot counterpart. However, it was a third-floor pet mob, meaning once it was trained properly, it was going to be stronger than Manly's triceracog had been. James also knew, that many of the players had begun collecting and training up different pet mobs, to swap out depending on the situation. The triceracog was a tanky pet mob, while the Giant Plaython was an attack type.
”Do you have to have him out right now?” Oak looked down with distaste at the pet mob, as he slowly backed away from it. ”Like, seriously?”
”Mister Snek needs to level up.” The dwarf replied as he turned back to Z. The guild leader of the Knights was the only one who had offered up coin to the shrine, after all. Meaning he was currently leading them through the swamp.
”Where to next boss man?” As Manly spoke, the others all turned their eyes from their inventories, back to Z. So far, other than the pet mob, James wasn't too sure what they had been getting from the chests. He knew the biggest reason for that, was that they didn't want to ruin their set gear bonuses, with any of the lesser gear options or items that could be in the chest. He was still waiting for them to begin getting some of the weapon and gear drops from the floor though. He had really enjoyed messing with, er designing, some of those weapons.
”Well, I say we pick off some of the smaller mob groups and see if we can't get the Knight's a level, before we head to the boss.” Z looked at his invisible map and offered the party a grin. ”After all, might as well finish this dive with a heroic go at the boss.”
