21 『Ample Construct』 (1/2)

Jack and Silva discussed the very scale of the project in which he wanted to have built. The girth of the Great Wall of China, a wonder which was still believed to be standing at the last days he spent in his previous world.

Twenty feet in girth at the bottom and eighteen at the top, with a full blown forty five feet in height. This wall was to be taller than the Great Wall of China and slightly wider as well at the top.

It was a grand plan and knowing that he had the people, manpower and the materials, he didn't see there being any problem building such an ample construct fit for a city.

It was to protect his current interests and to further hide the location of his home base. The City itself was protected from Divination, thanks to its innate high-end security system, and partly because it was underground.

That way they were unable to find its exact location and attack it.

Especially with that Black Scripture, the Slane Theocracy was currently seen as the greatest threat to them, as opposed to the highly uniformed Empire and the Beast Nations further into the central continent.

He wanted there to be additional magical defenses, due to the probable threat of Dragons and other powerful beings. An ambient shield that protected the Village from magical and forceful attacks was something that he wanted, something similar to a projected dome like an Anti-Life Cocoon.

So he was going to have it so that there were going to be multiple towers, spires, along the wall. These spires would be made out of a magical alloy that spawned such as defensive dome.

While the wall itself would probably take about two weeks to complete through constant work and use of manpower, that didn't seem to be the problem. However, the projectors would need at least a month for long-term use.

Nothing was perfect in this world, and from the geological surveys that his Guardians had run on the surrounding continent, quality material was going to be hard to come by. However, they did find two things that were particularly useful, an undiscovered mineral known as the Prismatic Crystal and a strange dragon shaped stone that could greatly enhance the prowess of potions.

These have been beginning to spawn in the mineral deposits recently.

This particular item, the Prismatic Crystal, was related to the Prismatic Ores of the previous world, in which allowed the user to surpass the predetermined level cap.

After discovering these minerals, Silva began to surmise that they took form when they emerged into this New World. The reason, unknown. Tests were currently inconclusive. However mining them and the elimination of uncooperative lesser life-forms living in the caves such as Goblins Ogres and Trolls, had already begun thanks to Silva's quick thinking.

Enri, now standing several paces away, stood there watching them talk. Her hand caressing her right shoulder slightly, as she looked down at her left hand.

Her mind had gone back to the attack. When the Captain was going to violate her and surely kill her afterward. The taunting of what they'd do with her little sister when she was gone.

She closed her eyes, clenching her hand closed. Her mind wandering, wondering, what would've happened if Jack hadn't arrived as he did. Or if he had come earlier and saved them, her parents, from their untimely deaths.

She only smiled faintly at the idea of seeing her parents alive once more.

At the same time, her sister seemed to be listening more, even if it had been a day or more since then. Even though it could just be minutes, it felt likes ages.

Growing up, she had lived in the moment and in her hobby of farming as there was nothing else to do in the village. The only people she really knew were her parents, the people living in the village and those who had visited it. Now, four people were dead. Four people who meant more than the world, and the Four Great Gods, to her.

Dark thoughts were clear as day.

Lost in her thoughts, she hardly noticed as Silva left the Throne room and Jack was standing before her. Looking over her, watching her as she stood there, trapped in her mind.

Slowly smiling to himself, as he knew she didn't think he was paying attention. He reached out and unbuttoned her collar, immediately earning two big wide brown eyes.

Enri's lips parted seeing Jack's glowing amethyst eyes in the dimly lit room which was coated in a blue hue from the chandeliers above. ”Jack...?”

He didn't say a word as his fingers trailed down to the next button, and the next.

Enri swallowed shallowly and took a step back, yet this only made him curl his fingers into the blouse beneath her woolen outer dress, pulling her close to him.

”This is what you meant... We-we're going to do this here, n-now?” She stuttered as she witnessed his other arm wrap around her lower waist, bringing her lower body closer to him so it was easier to control her movements.

Scoffing, Jack's eyes rested on hers that were staring up at him like wide open globes that mapped out all of their panicking thoughts, ”Is that a rhetorical question?”

Clearly, she was startled, though it wasn't something she didn't expect. If anything, she had expected him to do this before, considering what he had asked the night before.

Asking to share her bed. It seemed the only reason he didn't was because of her little sister, Nemu. Her eyes flexed slightly as her eyes wandered onto his chest. He could have easily denied her sister the bed, but he didn't.

Did he actually care though? Or was he just wanting to appear reasonable?

And right now she could easily deny him, but she didn't want to. She didn't see herself as a consolation prize, but... She was still enjoying his touch and his gaze. Sure she knew she was reluctant about sharing her first time with him, she was even a little afraid.

Yet he wanted her.

Her eyes shifted up to his face again as he took in the scent of her hair. Playing with the braid she had over her shoulder, causing her face to heat up slightly.

”Lets get that braid out of your hair,” Jack simpered quietly as he reached up, lightly undoing the strands of hair which were corded together like twine.

”But... But it took me hours to get it this way,” She almost reached out to stop him, but reframed from doing so as he gave her a side glance.

”I can put it back later,” Jack sniggered at her reaction. Fear was on her face from the brief look he had given her. It wasn't anything like a killing intent, but it was clearly threatening, if not just ominous in general.

”You can do hair?”

Jack nodded in return to this question, ”I used to do my little sister's all the time.”

”Used to...?”

Jack's smile and pleasant look left his face for an instant before returning, ”Yes. Used to, until I didn't... Couldn't anymore.” When he finished undoing her braid, he watched as her golden blonde locks fell along her shoulders.

”...Oh...” Her gaze lowered slightly as she smiled faintly, her fingers going up and fiddling with her undone buttons on the front of her red and orange dress. ”I...”

”Don't apologize for my loss,” Jack interrupted her before she could say another word, his hands lightly tugging at her top piece of her multi-layered dress, removing the jacket layer from atop the blouse followed by the rest of her garments.

Each article of clothing was nonchalantly thrown to the ground.

Now as she was just in a hemp undershirt and woolen underwear, he waved his hand towards the throne room door, a loud click emerged.

The door was locked, no one could enter and no one could leave. It was the way he wanted it, no disturbances unless someone decided to use the『Message』spell.

Jack walked her into the seat of the throne, pinning her down as he pressed his hand predatorily into her shoulder blade. He leaned in as if he was going to take a bite of her, only to planting his face into her unclothed neck, feeling her warm flesh on his lips.

”D-does it have to be here?” The throne was cold, and even though his touch alone gave her goosebumps, the cold crystalline throne made her hairs stand on ends.
